Seriously!
Talk about kick a person when they are down!

I prefered the send offs on the previous shows. The Maria and the Joseph exit songs were the best. Cruel, but brilliant.

I disagree. I thought it was nice - the loser floating over the rainbow is a nice touch, although I dare say ALW probably doesn't care too much for being handed two sweaty silver shoes...

I know!

"We thank you very sweetly
For ditching her so completely"

or something along those lines

And one of these days the loser is going to fall off the moon thing and be even more humiliated

Quite tacky, but I think it's heart is in the right place.

Well they all wanted to become stars so shouldn't complain.

It could be worse. In Joseph they stripped the coat off them too so they could have the surviving Dorothys tearing the loser's dress off her!

At least it makes sense. On the Nancy show (snigger!) they used to sing "As long as he needs me" which he obviously doesn't as he just sent her home.

Sadly, what you don't see is that they hoist the losing Dorothy outside and drop her in a pig trough.

I always remember Seamus' coat not coming off

Is it wrong I'd laugh if they fell off the moon? (So long as they didn't get hurt!)

ALW holding the shoes close was all a bit too 'pervy' for my liking

I was thinking that about someone falling off the moon!

I thought it was a bit long... but very sweet

It was a bit harsh, but at least it wasn't a full blown Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead, and Amy got her moment to shine!

They do the next best thing - they make the loser feel like a piece of s**t.

It's really sad

And I really felt for the two girls as they were singing their hearts out during the sing-off.

I thought the send off was great, they give the leaving Dorothy a real star moment! Lovely!

Yep, a potential starring role in Button Moon or The Clangers.

I know what you mean - it was sort of bittersweet.

I think I would have enjoyed it more if they got to throw the shoes at ALW in protest at being voted off

Didn't he hang onto the coat so that he could take it off himself - ever the exhibitionist; although I did think him very good.

I remember Francesca and the scots girl singing Whistle down the Wind, as they fought for survival.

Inexplicably ALW saved the scots girl after slating her performances more than once.

Tonight it was interesting watching the other Dorothys: some seemed genuinely distressed (especially Steph - which was understandable, she'd just been through the wringer) but it seemed some were trying very hard to squeeze a theatrical tear or two.

oops - forgot
