Another thing I love about Jessica is her RAW emotion which was palpable in Cabaret. And I know some people have criticised her interpretation of songs but for me it's the flip-side, she has turned songs I disliked into songs that I adore. I'm amazed.

I second that completely for me she is simply fantastic.!

I agree, a lot of the things she gets criticized for are the things i find very intriguing about her, she has been given quite a few silly song choices but has totally made them all her own and as you say made songs i disliked likeable.

Moral of the story is that however much the beeb try to stitch the monster munch up shes always going to smash it

We pretty much agree with this. She also has in there a touch of that elusive thing - star quality. If she can keep her standard up she has to be in with a good chance if winning. (with or without munching up the opposition)
