mmm just writing here that I think Sophie is going to be Dorothy and that she is deserving.

The tide is definitely turning. Sophie is going to knock it out the park on Saturday night. She was at her best last week, her confidence is growing all the time. I just hope her nerves don't get the better of her, I don't think they will.

The pressure is on but more pressure is on Danielle, because apparently she's the "chosen one". She can't let ALW and Sheila down now, can she? :yawn:

I hope Sophie wins for her, not me, because I would still prefer her to come 2nd or 3rd and get offered the choice of other roles. But so much hoohar from some Danielle fans and that is not solely any from this forum and not the majority of Danielle fans, that it is putting me off Danielle. Which I know isn't fair as all the girls I am sure are lovely, but some of Damielle's fans don't do her credit imho. So I am now hoping both Sophie and Lauren soar into the top two places.

Just so you know the Dorothy's are on BBC radio 2 right now, and I'm sure it will be on iplayer later they are all singing really well but Sophie stood out to me she was the one singing when i turned it on and she sounds like a really good 12 year old singer, and i mean that in a nice way

She was really good in the medley, they all were. I agree she sounded innocent and youthful, Lauren voice is fab though

I missed the OTR only switched on coincidently when the medley kicked in but i hear it was really good and she sounded very warm I'm waiting till it goes up on iplayer and then im sure i will tell everyone my full opinion weather they want it on not

All the girls are strong now and whichever one ones will do a grand job, all we can do is keep positive and VOTE!!!! and pray for the outcome we want lol. If it doesn't go our way, Sophie has made it to the final and I for one never thought she would. She has come a long way and should be immensly proud of herself . I'm positive she will be a star soon if she doesn't get Dorothy, she's too talented not to.

I totally agree and well should I say it, hmmm maybe save it for another time when this is all over. But what I will do is say this. Some Danielle fans have done her absolutely no favours what so ever. Some people have a tendency to take things too far and take things way to personally. It's a show fgs, it's not going to change our lives whoever wins. It's one thing showing support for your fav, it's something else when people start using bullying tactics to get their point across.

I know it's daft and it's only a discussion forum but it's really getting upsetting. Looks like I'll only be posting in here from now on. It's very easy to attack people from behind a computer screen - and when you reply and give your opinion, you're simply attacked again for daring to say something less than wonderful about Danielle.

For the record, I really like all of the girls in the final. I just can only see Sophie as the perfect Dorothy now. Some of Danielle's fans, like StacyG has said, are doing her no favours whatsoever. Sick of being singled out and slagged off. There's no place for it.

No fans of Sophie or Danielle are bullies, but their are few who are really passionate defending their favourite. However, it is getting very annoying how all the negative threads started on Sunday, are still being blamed on Sophie Fans, as as far as I'm aware they were started by people just trying to wind people up, not a fan of either girl. Also all the hypocritical behaviour from both sides is ridiculous.

And the fact the Lauren fans have stayed nice and calm, is making me like her more, I know you shouldn't judge a girl by her fans, as all 3 are lovely girls, and all extremely talented, but its very hard to do that when fans of one of them calls you a bully.

I now can't wait for it to be over, and of of them wins (hopefully Sophie) and all this madness can stop.

Do you not feel like you get targeted though? I've had comments like "oh I might have known you'd comment" or "funny seeing you in this thread" or words to that effect. Quite personal, and though I will always counteract posts with my opinions and whether I agree or disagree, I don't see why we are labelled as "howling in protest" when Sophie gets criticised, when they're 10x worse with Danielle.

I know what they're up to.

Anyway, just listened to the 3 girls.

I thought Lauren was the best but sounded too mature if that makes sense. But she was the only girl to bring a tear to my eye.

Danielle, not phased at all by her singing voice, quite bland for the role of Dorothy, best suited elsewhere.

Sophie was good, sounded more like a 12 year old girl, could quite easily pull off playing the role of Dorothy.

Yes they do get quite personal, which is exactly what they accuse us of, which is one of the things I meant by the hypocritical behaviour.

Anyway, just listened to the Over the Rainbows, Lauren was the best vocally but I agree with STACYG its a bit mature sounding.
I loved Sophies, of course, I think the vocal was perfectly suited to Dorothy, very innocent sounding.
Danielles was good, better than I thought it was going to be as she not the strongest vocally (great actress though), and does have a slight innocent quality, but I feel she brought nothing special to it. Just my opinion.

The Medley, I had no clue who was singing what, I never good with identifying voice, I heard glimpses of Sphie, Danielle and Lauren, but not enough to know which song each was singing.

I loved all three OTR's they were beautiful, Lauren was vocally very strong but didn't sound like Dorothy to me, like others have said a bit too mature like Steph was for me. I'm biased haha but I thought Sophie just brought the right innocence and vulnerability to it and I can see her melting hearts

Touching back on this bullying business just for a second if you don't mind.

On Sunday night I posted a thread on Danielle, saying if she won I would cry. It wasn't a thread to provoke and I wasn't being literal when i said I'd cry. I was attacked left right and centre by some Danielle fans. I had no idea there were threads already going because I hadn't really said very much about OTR until this week. I'd just watched the results show, logged in and said how I felt, not nastily or attacking anyone. A mod intervened on that thread and removed the offensive comments made my way.

I wasn't going to say anything and I'm not going to be specific but I'm aware of something else going on. There are some people on the Danielle's AT who are no more than bullies. They can deny it all they want and they know who they are, I know who they are too, I'm sure many of us know who they are.

I'm sorry, but if I feel attacked I will stand my ground and fight back, if people don't like it don't start it in the first place!

I think we need to calm down (me included ), I completely understand how some people might feel attacked but we must remember that the DH fans are probably feeling exactly the same and its all getting a bit out of hand. We are all passionate about the person we want to win, and its understand that we want to defend them no matter what. The best thing to do is not rise up and fight back, when the winner is announced on Saturday one set of people will be happier than the others but it is true that all of them will give it 100% and do a great job if they win

I have their OTR on again and am wondering if I am the only one who didn't think Lauren was the strongest? I thought her voice was very harsh compared to the others and she didn't seamlessly reach the big high belty notes at the end. My sister also picked up on it and so did my mum. However I thought Sophie and Danielle were both excellent and had very pure voices. Sophie’s however sounded much more wistful and youthful, but that might just be my slight bias talking
But I agree about the medley, couldn’t tell who was singing half the time. Who sang the really really high backing notes at about 1:51:49? THAT was impressive! It so much more helpful when we have Graham yelling out ‘Next up…*enter girls name*’

I thought Lauren's was the weakest too actually...I think Oz just doesn't suit her voice, it's too mature. Sophie was fab
I was struggling to tell with the medley too.Think Sophie did Ding dong the witch is dead? and I thought whoever did the merry old land of oz didn't do it as well as Sophie in the studio one, but like you that could be my bias talking

I'm listening again...can generally pick out Sophie's voice, but Lauren and Danielle are very hard to differentiate!

have just listened to the girls OTR on Ken Bruce, on the whole I enjoyed sophie's the most though technically it may not have been the best it had the right quality to be Dorothy, she sounded sweet vuneralble and it was an excellant performance , Lauren and Danielle probaly pipped her to the post on technical abilty but I felt their performances suffered for this , in particular laurens lacked emotional connection I thought and danielles was missing something, that I cant put my finger on but somehow for emotioal warmth I just didn't think it was up to Sophie's
but well done all three all of them sounded really good

Yeah I agree loveofskins, everyone try not to let it bother you, I was getting stressed out yesterday but am feeling much calmer today . If it gets to much use ignore lol, people are going to be more defensive now its the last week but im sure whoever the winner on Saturday people will be pleased for them.

I love how different people see different things, I noticed on the Radio2 thread I think, some thought Sophie' was the weakest and she sounded fragile. But I agree with someone on there who thought of fragile as a nice thing, I think she sounded so smooth and the innocence just oozed out for me. Dorothy needs those qualities imo.

I love Sophie's 'sing it high, sing it low' in the medley well I think it was Sophie haha

I was thinking that I couldn't tell if it was Lauren or Danielle but kept thinking I prefer Sophie's 'Merry old land of Oz'.
Still they are all amazing
