As I posted in the other thread like this one - I assume 1996, 2008, 2010. Mainly because Russell set EOT in 2009 to make sure he was back in sync for Steven (although POTD is still 2010). Also when they scanned The Doctor only invasions up to 2007 (Series 2) modern day events were shown, which for me mean that S3 - the Specials haven’t happened yet.

Of course because of the lack of references to previous invasions (which is a good thing for timing issues because just one tiny passing reference can make an episode be stuck having to take place in a year like POTD for example) the episode could take place anywhere. Then you have Rory’s 1990 ID card, which I’ve just had a though what if the Daleks in WW2 have made us too advanced like we now have laptops and touch screen mobiles in the 90’s but that contradicts the whole not showing anything past 2007 thing.

However, that must then also assumes that there was time travel between the start of the crash (1st Jan 2005, after he saw Rose) and the flight over London (which you're assuming is 1999). That seems a bit contradictory.

So, two possibilities:
1. No time travel at all. The flight over London was 2005, so the episode was set in 2005 (when Amy was a kid), then 2017, and finally 2019.

2. There was time travel. I think that's more likely, since the flight over London was clearly set in 2009/2010 (merely because we know that's when the production team flew over London to get the aerial shots!)
So I reckon the flight over London was 2010, the bit with Amelia was 1998, the main part of it was back to 2010 again, and the end of the ep was 2012.

I agree about the time travel. We can't overlook the obvious fact that the Tardis clearly materialized, not crashed, in Amy's garden. We actually hear the materialization sound. That's what makes Amelia look out the window. I think once the Doctor climbs back into the Tardis over London in 2010, he takes control and time travels, re-materilizing in Amy's garden in 1996. As the Tardis was hurtling across the sky when it dematerialized, that accounts for why it lands on its side in the garden.
