Hi all.... ive decided to upgrade to this box, read the reviews you guys and gals have done as well as whats on the argos website.

Just a couple of questions though please.

On the display of the box does it display the channel your watching eg BBC hd or the channel number?
In standby what does the display show?
I also will be recording things in HD but if i want to archive it to DVD via my dvd recorder, does it downscale? My dvd wont record HD connection is made via scart.
Also does it upscale every channel like my BTvision box did?

Now i love listening to the radio.. absolute 80's is my fave channel, but my current sky box FTA by the way, is connected to my stereo system via standard audio leads, will the HDR be the same?

Now my only problem is where to buy one... ARGOS have all sold out, hmmm Tesco??

Displays Channel Name.

If recording it shows the time, if not it shows nothing.

You can't archive recorded HD content, its protected. Think BBC HD lets you copy once, but not too sure how or what format etc.

Upscales all channels.

Think you can connect it yes.

It will show the time if the power saving in standby is disabled.

You can connect the box via scart to a dvd recorder and record the sd output but obviously this would need to be done in real time.
