Tomorrow I should be recieving my 4th replacement box in the space of a week. First box developed a hard drive fault - this was replaced last week with a box that had a faulty hdmi output and that was replaced this morning with a box that had a faulty lnb input. I wonder what will be wrong with tomorrows.

I have emailed a complaint and requested a brand new replacement rather than something refurbished but I`m not holding my breath.

Its the Foxsat HDR box - I cant believe how unlucky I am - I can only assume that because they send out refurbished boxes as replacements that someone is not checking them properly.

You should have taken it back to Argos in the beginning then you wouldn't have had all this problem.

Humax only seem to give recons back as far as I am aware.

Argos sent me a new box 1 year after mine developed a power supply fault. They're very good with the customer service on the Humax.

I strongly recommend approaching Argos directly this time.

Well I have recieved my 4th box in the space of 2 weeks = and guess what - its faulty. This one wont record anything - live pause doesnt work and scheduled records just disappear from the planner without anything being recorded. I think I will go the Argos route now and hope that they swap it for a new box.

This sort of input from a knowledgable person should be a Godsend for BobCat
as obviously something seriously wrong in a limited area of the Humax processing.
During my career progression.. i spent some time in the Factories environment..
Not my specific job ...but a keen mind and away from home..
so one day i took a phone from the out put..
Astonished to see that one of the women..
NOT sexist!! they were all women..
had soldered in ALL day a large electolytic Reverse polarity..
Quite stringent testing then would possibly not have located this until Field use months later..
and then Form filling aversion in the lower ranks would have ensured that no-one ever knew about it..
Firm loyalty is marvellous but from time to time we all make mistakes..even those we rely on..
Currently teaching LOGIC to Barclays Bank..they don't like it much!
