Has anyone tried there free book offer and then had a hard or easy time cancelling after the 14 days?
Great free offer but have seen some postings online about how it is very hard to cancel.

I had a subscription for about 12 months. I think to cancel I had to ring them but it wasn't difficult.

Just to clarify something, I had heard it was made difficult to do it online but most of what I read was from weeks ago so I don't know if it has been made easier since.

It's easy to cancel. I've subscribed to them on 3 seperate occasions, all I had to do was ring up and cancel. You can email them and cancel it aswell, but they say you should email at 48 hours before your next billing date to ensure you are not charged for the following month. On all 3 occasions it was only about 2-3 days before the next billing date so I didnt want to risk emialing them so I phoned.

You might be able to get a better offer than that. The first offer I had was for 2 feee books.

The next was for 1 book for £2.99 a month for 3 months and then £7.99 thereafter.

The third offer I took up was for £7.99 for 2 books a month for 3 months and then £14.99 thereafter.

Although the second and third offers were made to entice me back after I cancelled.

They are a good company I was with them for about 12 months all in all.

Leo laporte's Twit.tv is doing a 2 book special on his TWIT show - sounds good deal (which you say is easy to cancel) I may try that although it directs me to US site (I also heard some books not available to us in UK.)

I have an Ipod touch, do they give you an app to use it on the device and most importantly, I see an audio book 'Easy Rider Raging Bulls' 27 hour unabridged - will the Itouch remember where you left off?! after playing other books or music? (new to the Ipod touch UI).

The TWIT deals are only for Audible US only. the iPod touch, just like all the mobile apple products, has Audible support built-in.

Yes it does keep track of where you left off. I mix listening to podcasts with an audible book and it keeps track of where I left off on everything.

there is a program you download from Audible that will put the downloaded books in to iTunes and the books will be synced to you iPod Touch via iTunes. You can also buy audiobooks from iTunes

Anyone know how to add them to the itouch from itunes. Last week i had to do a factory restore and obviously it deleted all on the touch, but since then when i try and sync the books aren't available and unable to to manually add to touch. very odd.
