Do you rotate your teabags?
And no, it's not a euphemism.
Nor do I mean, do you turn them round in the cup? What I mean is, say you've got a dozen or so in your caddie, and you are refilling it. Do you take out the older ones, and put them on top of the new ones, so they get used first? Or do you just put the new ones on top? Or do you always use up all the teabags, before you refill the caddie? Likewise, do you rotate the sugar? |

Also my choice. My husband is a bugger for pouring new sugar into the sugar jar before it's totally empty though which I hate!

I wait until it's empty, shake out any tea dust and then refill.

I'm relieved to find I'm not the only one, who worries about teabags staying in the bottom of the caddie for months/years.

I don't drink tea, the stuff is only there for visitors. I seem to recall buying teabags about 2 yrs ago and all but 3 or 4 are still there.
How long will they keep? |

I also HATE it when coffee granules etc get in the sugar, so BIG rule for me is sugar in the cup FIRST, using a dry spoon. I don't mind sugar granules in the coffee jar though, because it is white so you can see what it is. Coffee in the sugar makes me paranoid it could be anything else. I cannot use sugar or butter than has anything else in it that should not be there. |

Here's the thing, if my wife is watching I will always put new tea bags on top of old ones as it will get a reaction. If I am on my own I always put the old tea bags on top, It's just that "A mans gota do what a mans gota do". It also works with sugar and the milk jug, I am baned from refilling the milk jug now and the crust on the lip has gone so where will I grow penicillin now. (only joking about the milk, stop glaring at me!)

It's not like it'll go bad or get contaminated with germs or anything like that. So the only reason I can think of is that it must be because some folk are uncivilised oiks who put wet spoons into the sugar. And anyone who was so uncivilised as to do that deserves all the clumpy sugar he gets.

lol, what a wacky question. I am now too lazy to take the teabags out of the box they come in. But when i did have a special pot, I used to wait until taking the last teabag out before filling it again. Do same with my coffee (I do have a pot for that, as the bags are not very stable!)
