Lauren won't be in danger even if she is in the bottom 2 - unless she is against Danielle. All she needs is a good song..

What a terrible song choice She sang it brilliantly but I didn't even recognise it. She would have been fantastic doing the one Danielle had.

Seriously! It's so obvious that she was screwed over by the VT! And she knew it (she did not look happy after her solo performance)!
I've voted for the first time this week I probably won't be able to afford to vote again until the final though...

Extremely shocked. She was fab! Here's hoping her fans and her family vote like crazy and keep her in.

Not in my top, but I would happily see her in the role. She's extremely talented and I had kinda expected her to be in the final.. here's hoping she is

Saying that I agree about the song though. Lauren's was the only song I'd never heard before.

Had she been given On My Own (which Danielle really didn't sing well) even with that deathwish VT she'd have got through.

Not hopeful about tonight. But I'm gonna lob another load of votes in.

For goodness sake why don't they give Lauren a different more down to earth human kind of song.She was the best on the night again.And stop putting her in a Red/Pink hanging dress.

I love Lauren to pieces and I could listen to her sing the phone book, but I'm getting so frustrated about the song choices for her - the last three weeks have been so samey! She really need an energetic up-beat number this week. We know she can knock the intense numbers out of the ball park. Hope she's still here next week and they find something fun for her.

Lauren is so so talented and what a flawless voice!
But I think she was in the bottom two and got the least votes cos people think she's just too perfect!! She's doesn't seem to have the innocence and naturalness that's so important for the role of Dorothy!!! And sadly she turns people against her by her air of superiority, and she always boasts about the comments the judges give her in the interview!! It's a shame, becos if it was purely on talent, Lauren should win!

I think Lauren is brilliant and it was terrible she was in the bottom two again tonight. Being Alive is a wonderful song and Lauren performed it well, but it's just not well known enough to be a votewinner. Hopefully Lauren she will avoid the bottom two 'tomorrow' night.
I sadly don't think Lauren will win but it wouldn't surprise me if ALW doesn't immediately ask her to be the alternate or understudy, as with Aoife and Sarah Lark. Either way I think she will do very well from this programme and is certainly the breakout star like Rachel Tucker. In fact, she may get far more interesting parts than Dorothy if she does go home!

Funny because Sophie said almost the same things in her VT tonight about how she IS Dorothy blah blah blah.

I totally agree Maysles - to be honest I don;t think Dorothy is the be all and end all of musical theatre roles! Out of the remaining contestants I think only Lauren and possibly Steph could cope with a really meaty 'grown-up' role straight away. Danielle and Jess would be fine as dorothy (and Sophie might be though I'm not yet convinced!) because she is a young, fairly uncomplicated part, and they will be ready for harder things later on, but Lauren could walk into a wide range of parts right now and make them her own.

When I was watching the acting task all I could think was...'isn't this a boring part'..even playing the Wicked Witch would be more interesting! The Wizard of Oz song medley as well just confirmed my belief it isn't a particular exciting show, everything sounded the same to me!

I agree too that Lauren and Steph are the only two that I could imagine handling a leading lady role straight away, and actually doing the eight shows a week. I try to see as much theatre as possible so regardless of what happens on OTR I will be looking forward to seeing Lauren as the leading lady in something else, this will be a brilliant platform for her.

She was well and truly stitched up by the VT - again.

Ludicrous result imo. I had to try several times to get through after that so maybe that's a good sign!
