Just wanted to say as well that Lauren blew me away in the sing-off. Her line "and pain is all around" packed such a punch I spontaneously burst into tears.
She's got something that girl. And while she isn't my fave, it would be a travesty if she wasn't in the final. |

Well its the first time I've ventured into the forum ever, so you're practically a veteran in comparison - I am not usually much of an internet forum type but I'm supposed to be writing a literature review which has that sort of effect on me (anything to procrastinate!) and I do tend to get a leetle bit obsessive about these shows so its nice to have so many equally obsessive people to talk abotu it with, it stops me from boring my housemates tears...anyway....go Lauren! I hope she isn;t in the bottom two again (with such a short voting time surely ancould happen) but if she is I'm sure she'll ace it again, I'm not sure she's capable of singing something badly!

Well I'm glad you agree as it is the first time I've ventured into the forum this year!
![]() When I was watching the acting task all I could think was...'isn't this a boring part'..even playing the Wicked Witch would be more interesting! The Wizard of Oz song medley as well just confirmed my belief it isn't a particular exciting show, everything sounded the same to me! ![]() I agree too that Lauren and Steph are the only two that I could imagine handling a leading lady role straight away, and actually doing the eight shows a week. I try to see as much theatre as possible so regardless of what happens on OTR I will be looking forward to seeing Lauren as the leading lady in something else, this will be a brilliant platform for her. So what would we most like to see Lauren in...? Evita? Florence in Chess (National tour coming up... I'm ignoring the fact that it's probably already been cast!)? Even perhaps Scaramouche in We Will Rock You (now there's on odd image for you!)? |

I know its not really a leading lady role but I think Lauren would be a wonderful Fantine in Les Mis...

I did warn you lot that Lauren could be in trouble this week.Didn't expect it to be with Jenny but this series is so messed up anything could happen.
Lauren now seems to be so clearly the best that it is a joke that she is not topping the votes each week. The other girls, who know her better than us,all seem to like her so i don't get why the editors are trying to shaft her with their unfriendly edits(unless they are very determined to get the vastly inferior Danielle to win,Steph is the only comparable talent left). Once again i was out so couldn't vote(have watched on sky plus),but i love to see the best being rewarded so am devastated at the publics voting tonight. |

I'm still really annoyed that Lauren was in the bottom two last night! I know I might be a little biased but her performance was the best of the night.
I thought Danielle was going to walk it when I heard she was singing On My Own, but she disappointed me! And surprisngly my 2nd fave last night was Jessica!!! It was Jenny's time to go, Sophie was meh! And Steph disappointed me as well! |

^ I agree .. Danielle could have done so much more with that song. I kinda wish Lauren had it and we would have seen a proper performance!
I think Charlotte does need to stop fawning over Lauren, because I think it's costing her votes! Totally unfair for her to be in the bottom two, best of the night by a country mile. Let's hope she get's all the extra rebound votes next week, firing her into the Final

I think that's the first time I've seen any real 'upset' from Lauren, except from that VT where she was devastated about being in the bottom 2. She looked visibly affected, but no surprise. The GBP really don't know talent when they see it. She's a pro though, so she'll bounce back. I just wish she knew how many people do like her and support her, I reckon she's probably quite unaware?!

Lauen has the best vocals by far, and she is confident and assured on stage. Surely this makes her the number 1 contender?

It does annoy me that this is a personality contest... when going to the theatre, you want to see a decent actress/singer playing the lead no matter what she's like off-stage (though I'm sure she's really lovely off stage, even if some viewers think she's a c*ocky b*tch!)!
I do think that she looked a bit upset after her solo, what with ALW's screechy comment and her VT (she must have known that yet again she'd been screwed over)... |

i hope Lauren can bounce back from being in the bottom two, especially tonight show with only an hour to get over it and not a week.

Loved that all the judges were completely positive about Lauren when they were commenting on all of the girls!

Errrr ... There's ANOTHER "I can't warm to Lauren" thread out there
Seriously, if she annoys you that much just mute her (and miss out of the performance of the night)Ahhh right ... Not really a Potter fan so the connection went right over my head

Seriously, can't people get over it?! Yeah, we get it, lots of people don't like/get Lauren's personality!
Lauren's lovely, even Arlene Phillips said so on her Twitter account last night! |
