TBH I think that most posters on the Sophie and Jess threads are quite young and imature, they don't think like adults at all. Most of their arguments are like a playground squabble, I just find it tiresome. I'm glad my school days are now in the dim and distant past....

In my experience lots of teenagers (especially in lower school) do act like that, so you're forgiven on my part! Every day I'm thinking "I'll never have to see these immature brats again soon!" But yeah, there are plenty of mature teenagers around too!

Sorry to intrude but i'd really like some opinions from Lauren fans on why I have a problem with her acting. Her vocals are spectacular and I don't buy any of this 'arrogant' nonsense, so I'm confused about why I don't love her more.

Apologies if it's inappropriate to post this on an appreciation thread, but there are a lot of people whose opinions I respect who admire her acting and so I'm a bit puzzled about why I'm not responding to it. Maybe it's just a very personal reaction, maybe she could dial it down a bit?

In her favour, I'll happily say that I thought 'think of it as personality dialysis' was one of the funniest, best-delivered lines of the series. But I thought that it might have worked so well because she wasn't trying to so hard.? Oh, I don't know, I'm in a muddle, please help me out!

Ooh Laurielle seems like a fairer division of names!

I think it's because she's acting for theatre and not for television; something that's going to reach the back of a large theatre is bound to seem too OTT for television. That's why I don't think that Danielle totally has it sorted in the acting department as I think she plays it far too small for theatre, though I think she would have a good future in television
