I actually thought she was going to cry in the middle of the sing-off! That's how much I believed her!

She was fab in that sing-off. Very vulnerable. Steph did well too but Lauren acted it better.

If that didn't convince ALW that she can do vulnerable, then I don't know what will (though I'd imagine that I lot of it was actually real Poor Lauren!!)!!

I don't even think Lauren acted that vulnerability she showed in the sing-off, looked like the real McCoy to me. Felt/feel really sorry for her. Can't remember who said it or how they got the idea, but in the spoiler thread someone said she was devo'd and really believes the public 'hate' her. Yes, the poster used the word hate. Mustn't be a nice feeling and it's certainly not true.

Perhaps we should send some well-wishing messages and good luck so she's not too down?!

My mum thought she had one when she answered Graham's question on whether Andrew should write a musical for her and Danielle. I didn't pick up on it myself but if she has one I would guess it is a hangover from her hearing problem.

... I want to watch that sing off again, I think I was too worried the first time round!

Lauren was absolutely amazing "tonight." She in no way deserved to be in that sing off, having given what I thought were the two performances of the night in the first show, but her vocals and acting throughout the song were just... perfect. I have no other words. I think Steph is fabulous as well, but Lauren was just perfect throughout that entire song. Poor, poor girl if he really is as devestated as she looked last night, because I honestly thought she looked defeated through pretty much the entire show. I properly teared up watching the sing off tonight, despite knowing the result last night. It was just horrible watching the two of them clearly think "Yup, this was the sing off the Lord as good as asked for last night." That was undoubtedly the best sing off this series for me and yes, even comes close to the Rachel/ Sarah Lark sing off from IDA. I'm not sure which wins for me. I might just go watch them both a few times more, just to be fair...

I'm up for team Lanielle if Lauren can't win next week! I'll almost certainly be voting for her in the first part of the evening (assuming my phone plays along again), but if she goes out I may well switch to Danielle. If I can't have my dream final now that Steph's gone, I'll support the two who are left.

I think I posted that?! And she was devastated (I mean you could see she was trying to hold it together). I'm so glad she wasn't the least favourite in terms of votes! Think that would have pushed her over the edge.

I will tell 'my person' to tell Lauren that this thread exists but I don't want her to come and read as she might see some other stuff elsewhere!!

Maybe just to the studio's? Or perhaps do it via Facebook? Her mum posts quite a bit on a particularly fan group. But I think a physical card is nicer

Thing is, and what I think is the problem and what frustrates me, is that a lot of what we see tends to be a production manipulation - VT's edited specifically. So for people to make sweeping judgements on the girls, particularly negative ones, is really wrong. I know we probably all do it a little bit, but of this whole series there hasn't been any girl I've personally disliked and I find it astonishing that there is a lot of vitriol around. DS is well known for that though...

I know I'm preaching to the converted and know I don't need to be, but I bet if you spent 10mins in the company of Lauren (and indeed any of the girls), you'd see they're all lovely and the fact they manage to perform multiple songs each week regardless of when it might be a bit off key or lacking some emotional colouring or the dance steps might not be quite right, we really need to remember just how much work and guts it takes to do that every week.
