I'm a Danielle supporter but Lauren was amazing last night I really enjoyed the Popular song one of the highlights of the serise for me and it really get's on my nerves when people say she's cold just because she's compossed!!

Anyway thought I'd just say how brilliant and gracious she was last night, whatever happens I'm sure she'll go a long way in the future!

Hate to speculate, but do you think Charlotte's 'arrogant' comment has been the thing to taint this for Lauren? It was a big thing to suggest in only week 2, and ever since she's been so nice, fawning over her were her words, perhaps to make up for it? Of course, the great comments are completely deserved but I partly wonder whether she feels bad and has wanted to make up for it? Just a thought...

It was out of the blue and poor Lauren didn't seem arrogant at all. But yeah, maybe that's where some people have got the idea

Can't believe I have never posted in this thread before. Didn't know much about Lauren at the audition stages but she has been brilliant in all the live shows.


I really was not happy when Charlotte said this because everyone seems to have jumped on it. To be fair I don't think Charlotte knew that would happen but maybe she does feel bad. I was gobsmacked when she said it because I don't think Lauren came across as arrogant!

Its been clear to me all along.Lauren is by far the most polished and professional performer.She can act,she can dance and she can sing.My goodness can she sing.
Her interpretation of Dorothy will be different.But right from the start ALW wanted a modern edgy Dorothy.No one fits that bill more than Lauren.

We seem to get lame excuses for not supporting her like she is arrogant (rubbish) that she lacks warmth (nonsense) and that she is to old (she is 22 for gods sake).

Lauren has one last chance to show the public she is Dorothy.What we see on these threads is not representative of what happens out there in television land.

There are probably thousands of voters who will only make up their mind on the night.These will be decisive,and thier vote is up for grabs.
Lauren's quest for glory started tonight.Her sing off showed a fragile side,a realisation that she could lose.It may have changed her .
Who knows it may have also changed many opinions.

If the previous weeks are anything to go by,there is not much in this competition.Small things may matter.

A poor performance,a mis-judged interpretation,a brilliant display,could be all that is required to shift the vote.
Favourites are there to be beaten.
Lauren can win....believe it.

and thought she looks a bit like Helena acting. Helena was arguably the best singer on HDYSAPLM too, but she also had vote problems. Helena thought it was partly due to the difference between stage and TV acting - she was acting as she had been taught for the stage. Interestingly Helena and Lauren both went to Guildford......Helena has done fine since and Lauren looks more like even more roles.

I also think she's not getting very helpful comments - she's doing much better than just nailing the vocals - they should tell her so more often.

I also think Charlottes fawnig of Lauren after hasn't helped - obviously Lauren is amazed but this, but is seen as arrogant for being pleased with the comments

also ... I wonder what the girls are up too this week ... During IDA they went to Paris and had a class with Liza Minelli

Lauren is fantastic! She and Jessica were my favourites from the beginning.
I really felt for her yesterday night as she looked so sad. I really want her to win now.*Her performance of Heaven was fantastic, and she was brilliant in the sing off. I just hope that she will get some great songs to sing next week, a song like Who Wants To Live Forever (to show off her fantastic voice) and maybe a Kelly Clarkson song to show her girliness (I've always wanted to hear her sing My Life Would Suck Without You or even Behind These Hazel Eyes).*The songs she's had so far are good (some were terrible like Being Alive and Man That Got Away should not have been given to her as ALW is infatuated by Jessie Buckley's version) because she performed them so well, but none showed her off at her best (like Mambo for Danielle and Reflection for Sophie) so I hope she gets one this week.

I don't live in the UK, so can't vote. Is there any way to do it through the internet? I know some people do it for American Idol.

Another reason why*Lauren HAS to win is because the winning Dorothy might get to record an album (Connie and Lee both did albums as they were in ALW productions, Jodie wasn't in an ALW show so she didn't do an album with him) and to be honest Lauren would be fantastic as she has the best voice of all of them.
I don't know if the winner will do so, but its something I hope will happen.

Lauren has managed to blow me away since she sang "Run" in the first week. Every performance of hers that I've managed to catch have been of such a high standard it makes me wonder how she isn't already in a West End role. But when she manages to be so engaging with a naff song such as "Heaven", you know that she is talented. Lauren to win!
