Easily the best voice in the competition, but perhaps too tall/old for the role? Viewers may favour a shorter girl...

But she is oh so gorgeous. A storming hottie.

Reminds me of Winnie Cooper from 'The Wonder Years'

Once again Lauren was head and shoulders above the rest. I really hope that she gets the part. I am sad that the negative comments she has received from the judges have zapped her confidence a bit because she was fairly subdued during the group performance last night in that she didn't show off and over act like some of those girls who are now beginning to come across as slightly desperate.

I think she's only 5ft 3, which is hardly tall!! Steph gets called shorty when in fact I've read she's about 5ft 5 - go figure!

Lauren is perfect for the role. You need a professional all rounder to play such a big part in the Theatre for 8 shows a week, and Lauren is the only candidate who is mature enough and can handle it all. She has a beautiful voice, is an elegant dancer, can act and convey emotion on the stage. I really don't understand all the "she's too old" comments.

Sadly in this series, the public seem to be voting strangely.

I found this online - http://www.laurensamuels.net/

Plus this is a blatant attempt to *bump* this up from page 2

well i got my wish for lauren and she performed a dance number!
now i think she should do a ballad, something that shows off her voice and acting skills like steph did this week.

hopefully the voting public are behind her now!

Just wanted to wish Lauren *GOOD LUCK* for Saturday's show.

I've had a good look, and a good listen to all the contestants, and she's by far the best in all departments!

Really hoping she wins, would love to go and watch her live in the Theatre.

I do think Lauren comes over as a little older and more sophisticated than most of the others, and so far she has had three mature and un-Dorothy-like songs. However I also think she could play Dorothy (though personally I'd prefer to see her in something that would give her voice more free rein).

I forgot to mention that when I found Lauren's CV on her agency's page, I also found a Facebook group dedicated to the Peter Pan production she was in and there we some photo's which I think prove that Lauren does look young enough and could be a convincing Dorothy. As with all of this shows, the BBC creates different characters and I think they've tried to make Lauren into the 'slick, professional' one but these photo's completely convinced me she should be Dorothy! I don't think all the hair, make up and wardrobe work in her favour; she looks a lot more like a Dorothy when she's herself in my opinion.

Hope Lauren does well.
