It obviously didn't feel that close to Lauren. After Danielle got put through it was obvious she thought she was going. I think that was the only time I saw her lose her composure the whole competition

I am absolutely devastated that Lauren went first.... I know I am Danielle fan and therefore wouldn't have wanted her to win... but especially when she cried "I must be the most unpopular girl on the planet " I could not help but want to hug her.... I threw in 3 votes for her to try and keep her in the top 2.... but it didn't work.....In all honesty she has sooo much experience and is such a great professional she can get any other job....I will be watching out for Lauren and I really hope she goes far
And I just want to say a HUGE thank you to you guys as I think the coalition really sealed the deal for Dan's victory it was nice to have you on our side.... and I hope you are not too heart broken that Dan winning meant Lauren had come 3rd =(

I don't think Tim Rice was involved in Phantom. Wasn't that Charles Hart and Richard Stilgoe?
I haven't seen Love Never Dies and don't feel that compelled to. Phantom was so good that I can't help thinking I would find the sequel a let down. I haven't exactly been blown away by any of the songs I've heard from it in promotional events (like the guest appearance on OTR a few weeks ago). That said, it is a West End musical at a big London theatre produced by one of the all time greats. It would be a fantastic stepping stone for Lauren and could open some more doors for her

OOPS should have made the tim rice comment a bit more clear sorry.... I meant in general I feel ALW is lost without Tim Rice... I prefer there pieces together.... a lot of exceptions to this rule though... i.e Phantom of the opera , cats but I just feel that as a duo they were very strong .... I would like to see them work together again
As long as Lauren gets a part she's happy with, that will put her in her rightful place on a WE stage, I will be happy for her & there on opening night with my banner

I doubt if for Christine - if you look at the cast list he has someone who has massive experience as a leading lady hidden in the cast as the understudy and it also hides a second cover who is a full fledged operatic soprano. He's going for experience and fullbore sopranos. He's already got Niamh as Fleck.
However there is Summer Strallen's role Meg if she ever moves on- haven't seen it as Phantom with even less story didn't hit my wish list but I think Lauren can sing anything Summer can?
On the other hand there's an awful lot of other roles not requiring any specific look or character or special ability (cartwheels in Chicago for example) or massive comedy skills which Lauren could sing reliably brilliantly.You can also see her doing both the classical (old) musicals and the modern ones which adds to her potential.

"Just wanted to say thank you for all the support you have shown to Lauren - we are trying to get through the e mails etc but there are a lot and I have to work in the meantime!!! I will respond to all but bear with me. Just to let you know that Lauren is absolutely fine and dandy and is having meetings this week so will keep you posted. x x"

I read in our local paper last night that she has had loads of offers so it is looking good for Lauren.
