As much as I really want Lauren to do an upbeat song ... How about As Long As He Needs Me?

I'd quite like to see her do Think of Me from Phantom - she would make a great Christine

I wouldn't want her to do that, there's too mnay comparisons to be made from IDA!!!

I'd like her to do something that's not been performed on the other shows - and preferably upbeat instead of ballady. But without too much cheese! Not too much to ask is it?

No wonder the judges say that Lauren is too 'professional' seeing as she had graduated from Guildford School of Acting, which is recognised as the top one in the country for musical theatre, and her first professional role was as Wendy in Peter Pan.

I have also read that Lauren has a 'stage' name (Samuels) too because Bonner is her real surname! Do any of the other girls have stage names or do they use their real names?

Yeah but this was in Leicester, where shes from originally. Hardly the westend! I went to see it as well, and even though the cast were excellent they were fighting and uphill struggle with the amateurish set (probably due to money)!

Where was the West End mentioned in my post? There are professional shows all over the UK
without having to go to the West End to see them! She sounds too 'posh' for my liking!

I can't see her there. Did they show her in the Hackney theatre for the call-backs?

Yep, I've never understood that criticism of Lauren, that she's 'too professional' or 'too polished'. She's auditioning for a role that'll mean her giving eight perfomances a week, over a period of months, for people who'll be paying good money to go and see - how can anyone be too professional for that?

I suspect those criticisms come from fans of the girls who are perhaps a bit too amateurish, or 'real and human' as they spin it.

Thanks!

I don't normally do reality/talent shows apart from BB, but I caught OTR a few weeks back and just kept watching!

I trust you'll be on the BB forum come June?

Lauren seems nice to me. I don't understand that people call her cold. She's the oldest there, and perhaps the fact that she is able to act a bit more mature than some of them is why people call her "smug." Not everyone wants five million people to see you cry on camera. She'd probably be mortified if that's what some people thought of her. It's odd that so many seem to want paint people as the villain in this contest.

She's not my favourite or anything. But I like her performences. That should be what counts.

Yeah no doubt, but I don't think I'll get as hooked as I have in the past what with the combination of no LF and the World Cup.

OTR is compulsive isn't it? Waiting for the spoiler to come in on a Sat night is just about the H/L of my week atm

Is it? I thought Mountview in North London was?

Anyhow, being a graduate of Musical Theatre, an accomplished singer (the best in the competition), a fine actress, slick mover who can follow choreography and dance in time and rhythm, attractive, pleasant, hard worker who gets on with the job, I would expect the lead in a West End show to possess ALL of these qualities, so that people paying £50-60 a ticket can enjoy the performances and not be worried about the *star* having a melt down. Plus, Lauren should be proud of her abilities, and not have to apologise for being a well rounded performer with no area of weakness. I was rather sad to hear even ALW refer to "thinking she was arrogant at the beginning" in last week's show in his assessment of all the girls. IMO he should not have said that. I just see someone who is confident in her ability, and why shouldn't she be, with a voice like that?! She's also not afraid to go to those dark places in her unselfconscious acting.

Lauren was fabulous on Saturday, but this week they should give her an upbeat extrovert song to perform and not another introspective number.

One thing that made me go 2 weeks ago was hearing Scottish Dorothy say that she'd never even heard of "West Side Story"!!!! I find that Un-be-lieve-able for someone auditioning for a musical theatre role. I think the 17 year olds in the contest need to go back to college and improve their skills and learn about the business. The fact that the one candidate who has those skills is the subject of sarky remarks is sad. Connie was a graduate of Mountview. Did anyone complain?

Oh NOOOOOO! I NEVER want to read the spoiler, it would take away the excitement of the Result's Show for me. On Sunday there was me, my sister and my niece, all sat on the sofa, emotional and crying! TV Gold!

i'd have actually sold a limb to go to GSA! It's phenomenal!

Oooh yes, spoiler me up every week! I made it until about 11am on Sunday this week until I gave in and found out - I was still surprised at the outcome tho ...

Who do you think the Lord would send home if they were in a sing off with Lauren, the only one where I think L would definatly go is against Danielle. It'd be tough to choose if it were Steph & Jessica I think ... Not sure about Sophie & Jenny?!

Anyway ... lauren won't be gone this week, no way

I think his order of saving would be:-

Danielle
Lauren
Steph
Jessica
Emilie
Sophie.
