iPlayer - timer in the corner
I haven't noticed this before but on the PS3 version of the iPlayer there is now a permanent display on the bottom left corner of the screen showing progress and length of the programme being viewed.
How do I turn this off? It's not wanted and is distracting. |

It's doubly wrong now as I never want to know how long before a programme ends - but watching one tonight - it destroyed the viewing experience.
Please - is it possible to lose the counter in the bottom left of the screen on the BBC iPlayer (on PS3 in my experience)... |

I started a thread about this same issue in the PS3 forum yesterday. It's very annoying, isn't it?

Can it be disabled? I don't remember seeing it previously so I'm assuming it's a recent imposition by the BBC...

I think it's a glitch. I've reported it on the relevant section of the iPlayer website.
