Does anyone know when the DOI tour tickets are usually released?

Hi, bit early I know as we haven't even finished the 2010 tour but I was wondering if anyone knew when the tickets are usually put on sale for the next year?

I try every year but am always too late and as I will be 50 in 2011 I am determined to get in if I possibly can.

If anyone knew when the tickets came out for this years tour it would be a great help.

Thank you x

They're usually released October time.
But I didn't get mine until mid March this year, and I still got good seats.
Hope that helps you.

I thought they got released end of October/beginning of Nov this last year.

We bought ours in January and they are good seats too.

Thanks very much

I've got to do something special to mark the year, haven't I?

Hope you two both enjoy your shows this year.

If you sign up to your local arena newsletter they generally send out emails notifying you when tickets will be going on sale

We booked in February

We were quite far back, with a side view of the judges(Karen nearest).

There were quite a lot of empty seats in the far back corners. I guess most people will prefer Friday, Saturday or Sunday, so other Sheffield dates might be sold out

Thanks again everyone.

Our nearest venue would be the 02 arena and for ages now the only seats available are in the 4th level which they advise you not to choose if you have a fear of heights so goodness knows how much you would see from there, lol.

There were a couple on a slightly lower level but not great seats, too far back to be able to see properly, so I though I might as well hang on and really go for it next year.

I once went to see T & D (at Olympia I think it was) and the seats were just facing other seats with the rink off to the right so you had to watch the whole show twisted sidewards to see them!

Hoping you are all enjoying the tour, I'm v jealous

Keep trying though! My friend got rinkside for Sheffield when she phoned up on Frid and that was for today so don't give up just yet

They seem to be released during the October 1/2 term week - at least they have been for the last 2 years.

We didn't phone and book till February but seats were in second block back so rink seemed rather far away

Thanks everyone, I am def giving up on this year (I think)

Note to self, at least have this birthday before you start planning next year's! Lol. Only 13 days to go - counting? who me?

I shall make a note in my diary because I'm determined to make it for 2011 - watch this space!

Thanks again x

After the show at the O2 on Saturday they were handing out leaflets, advertising the tour DVD and also the 2011 tour & it said the tickets would be available 'soon'. Just thought I would let people on here know as it looks like they may have tickets on sale earlier for next year's tour.

I haven't been to the O2 myself but a friend of mine who goes to a few DOI shows at different venues every year says there's no atmosphere there. You might be better off trying another venue - make an occasion of it and go away for a day or two for your birthday

I went to the tour for the first time this year and absolutely loved it. It's well worth it if you can get tickets and, I have to say, it's also well worth going to a venue with loads of atmosphere, even if it does mean a bit of travelling.

I agree with this! I go to see the tour every year at the MEN in Manchester & the atmosphere is always awesome. This year I went to the MEN & the O2 and there was no comparison. The O2 atmosphere was much quieter, fewer standing ovations, much less people joined in with Andy Collins at the start. It's the MEN all the way for me, don't think I'll go back to the O2 next year unless I get rinkside seats!
