Not seeing flash pen drive

I have suddenly got a problem. The HDR will not recognise any pen drives. I have a Transend 8Gb formatted Ext3, a Scandisk cruzer 8Gb formatted Ext3 and a Scandisk cruzer formatted with Fat 32.

The right hand side of the media list screen will only show the same as the left. Nothing I am trying to record is encrypted. Any suggestions please??

Presumably it's worked before?
Does the box recognise a device when first connected ie on-screen prompt?
If you shift the highlighed selection to the right hand pane within media manager does the opt+ button become active and can you select another device from it?

I presume you have clicked on the drive icon SDA(1) to open the root folder ?

once again move the cursor over to the left pane and click ok, this will open the destination location, now move back to the left pane and locate the file to transfer the copy button should now become active.
