As we know, many of the Time Lords use descriptive titles with 'The' instead of using their proper names, such as:

The Doctor (not a doctor of medicine, but he makes people better)

The Master (you will obey him)

The Rani (queen/princess)

The War Chief (and he does love his job)

The Monk (perhaps not what he calls himself, but he travels alone and stays secluded)


What descriptive title would you give to a new Time Lord character (if they weren't all time-locked away on Gallifrey)?

I'll start things off with:

The Pimp (offers TARDIS journeys with various Time Lords for a fee)

The Janitor : cleans up other Timelords mess

I claim the option when they cast that one!

That would actually be an interesting character, trying to repair the time lines and all that.

Suggested catch phrase: Oi! Get off that rift, I just sealed it!

Gene Hunt for the role ?

For me, based on my job, it would be The Developer

In theory he would develop new and exciting timelines and create new and improved TARDII* software, helping Time Lords travel more efficiently. But in reality he would just end up getting blamed for every time a Gallifreyan ended in the wrong place or time.

And strangely even though he would be a Lord of Time the deadlines would still be impossible to reach.

*I have decided that TARDII is the plural of TARDIS

The Moderator. Attempts to keep the universe in balance...and to stop the Doctor and the Master from constantly fighting.

The Couch potato. Sits around watching the Doctor's adventures on his monitor screen...

Hang on...

The Daddy Ray Winstone in the role. Goes round keeping the Master in check

The Priest-has TARDIS the shape of a confessional and only takes young boys along as companions.

The Administrator

Deals with the follow-up paperwork that needs to be completed every time The Laws of Time are breached or there's some other type of stuff-up by the other Time Lords.

The Gofer.

Thats right sir, you just get me to do all your spreadsheets, reports, general work so you can just sit on the horse racing websites all day and claim the credit later.

The Token (black, of course)

Speaks for itself, and is very in keeping with todays TV 'ideals'.

The The

He's the timelord responsible for maintaining UK pop bands of the 1980s.

The Loss Adjustor

Has to assess the damage caused by a visit from the Dr and arrange appropriate payment.

Has to have extensive Universal currency experience.

The Man

Put simply, he is the timelord all other timelords WANT to be.

The One

Looks like:
Ability to travel through time with no TARDIS
The only person in the universe who that defeat Chuck Norris

The Sparrow

A nice name, but whose true purpose is to torment over-excited Dr Who fans at the prospect of a Sally Sparrow return, that will never, ever happen. Ever.

The Cabbie

Travels the universe boring people by spouting his views on any given subject.

The Prisoner

He is not a number, he is a free Timelord.

The Professor

A know-all, is never wrong.

Hmmm, sounds a LOT like the Doctor

THE POSTMAN

He saves the Universe, one letter at a time. A post apocalyptic time - the law of the gun - hope is rekindled by people recieving bills on time due to the country music loving POSTMAN.






Oh, wait, hang on a mo...This would be awful in every way...

The Politician- With Gallifrey destroyed he's still claiming for it as a second home, even though it's clear presently he's living in his main means of transportation.

The NURSE

The Doctor dies and Jenny vows to take his place and carry on his good work with a similar medical title!
