I am sure someone else on here will be able to advice you on how to see it in UK

but seriously- you don't want to watch it- even if you think you do, you don't- it's a national embarrassment

Episodes are available on RTE Player on the RTE website but I'm not sure if you can view it from outside the Republic of Ireland. I watched Fair City the other day for the first time in months and it's even more dire than I remember. It still gets inexplicably high ratings though. If you're looking for a decent Irish soap you should try Ros na Run on TG4. Again I'm unsure if episodes can be viewed outside of Ireland but it's much better than Fairly Shitty.

I agree- Ros na Rún is in Irish as it is on our Irish language channel- not very complicated Irish but you would (probably) need to watch it with english subtitles- it is a good soap- infinitely better than Fair City

Fairly Shitty twined with the BBC Scotland dirge River Shitty.

Haha I've never seen River City. I'm actually surprised it hasn't been aired on Irish TV as High Road and Machair have both been aired in the daytime schedules at some point.

Yes River Shitty is a blot on my resume, spent time on the show as an extra during 2008, horrid set full of four legged vermin, cold and dismal even on a warm day.

Outside the Republic of Ireland, RTE Player automatically gives you an international version - and Fair City isn't mentioned. http://www.rte.ie/player/

I have never heard of anyone wanting to watch this show. I really don't understand how it gets such high ratings.

The likes of The Clinic and Raw were a hundred, million times better than Fair City.

What clip, out of interest?

I'm shocked too! I mean, it's tradition to watch it for a lot of people, but mostly because it's so bad.

What paper was this in? And what did it say? Sorry for asking but the online versions of the Irish newspapers are pretty dire so the story doesn't seem to be up online.
