I love reading DS and call me crazy but I watch Corrie & EE.

I feel someone has to chip in here and say it's getting really boring trawling through all the same old 'I hate EE - Kill Louise Berridge - Corrie vs EE' threads.

I know we're here to chat & debate (and yes I know everyone is entitled to an opinion), but having not read any threads for a while I just trawled through so many threads with the same old moans.

Lighten up guys - surely there must be other things to add/post?!?!

Quite right Soaps. Hear hear I say. People are too precious about their favourite soaps, and need to lighten up a little. These are long running dramas, and ultimately disposable. Would people get this worked up if their soap suddenly finished? Would they miss it that much?

Complaining and moaning is, of course, fun in itself. And sometimes a good bitching session is a laugh. But with a bit of perspective we should all realise that it's only light entertainment, early evening TV after all. Nothing about our soaps is earth shattering. And I speak as someone who watches most of them.

Thats the whole point of this place! So if you dont like it, dont click on it and read it!

And just incase you say "well stop watching EE then".......well yes i will as of the end of tonights episode!

If they improved the programs we wouldnt need to moan

I quite like bitching, if it's funny bitching. Not if if it's just a moan with nothing funny or constructive or offering a new perspective to the argument. Posts like "EE is rubbish" are just as bad as the texts on BB4 saying "Nush/Federico/Ray is well fit".

Equally inane are threads like "Which is your favourite soap?". They're unengaging and a waste of space. Give me a bit of sleazy innuendo, slander, pithy comment or even a well reasoned point anytime.

I watch both EE's & Corrie and other soaps.

Lately EE's has bored me to tears so I'll (if need be) comment on an EE's thread why it annoys me at the mo just as much as I'll comment (on a Corrie thread) on why it entertains me etc and vice versa.

I thought this was a public forum & as such allowed us to talk about our opinions on ALL soaps even if it's not the majority rule & as such discuss our opinions for/against etc. Unlike the BBC boards that won't even allow Tina Baker to comment negatively on EE's withought her thread being removed.

The thing is I don't have a choice as every thread ends up as Corrie vs EE!

But hey if you wanna carry on moaning about EE being miserable and can't see the irony in it............

I have to congratulate you for coming up with a topic that riles people up. However I agree with everyone else that this is a forum specifically for people to either moan or praise the soaps and no matter what this is what we will do, so I say to ypu (in the nicest possible way) is that you lighten up a bit and accept it.

OK maybe I need to articulate this point better. I understand the moans and groans (hey I've done them), but every thread goes off into Corrie v EE or the same topics appear again & again in different threads so it's not easy to avoid the same old moans.

I'm not trying to slate everyone on DS for moaning, just pointing out something I noticed & wondered had anyone else noticed.

Before you do get your coat, I agree to an extent. Perhaps if people tried to keep similar themes in on thread it might be better, eather than having loads of negative threads that touch on very similar subjects.
