Is it possible to get a cable that connects the audio output from my Sky box to a cassette player?

What socket is on the cassette player? Did you mean recorder?

If 3.5mm stereo jack socket try this L45AJ

That's very expensive for a one of those, how about this one. Your best option is to check your local market though - you'll probably find one very cheap.

Agreed, could not find the cheaper one, so was using it as an example.

Going one step further from this...
I have my hifi system connected to my Sky digital box and mainly just use it to listen to some of the radio stations through my system.
My hifi system has a minidisc player that I have rarely used. If I recorded some of the music from the Sky music channels onto minidisc is there a way that it is then possible to transfer these onto my computer and get them into itunes to download onto my ipod.
Sorry if I am asking the impossible or indeed the obvious - I'm very new to all this!

If you get a phono-to-phone lead to connect your digibox to your hifi, then you'd easily be able to record to minidisk. Then if you connected your minidisk player to your PC's line out with a phono-to-minijack cable as mentioned above, you could record the minidisk onto the PC, and encode (if necessary) to MP3, before importing into iTunes.
Although if you could connect your digibox directly to your computer, it'd cut a lot of faffing with minidisks out. I don't really have any knowledge of programs to record from the line-out, but I'm sure someone will have some suggestions.

Unfortunately my digibox is downstairs and my PC is upstairs and so I will have to record to minidisk first. I have no problems recording from sky to minidisk as i already have those leads. It's getting the tracks from minidisk to PC (for ipod) that I wondered about.
