Well, an amazing episode tonight and all this week really. I could see it from the beginning that it would be a classic episode and the acting was great all round, especially Janine, she never gets boring!. Think it will have high ratings as it was bigged-up on the radio, tv, etc. Well I don't mind that the last month has been a bit rubbish as this week has made up for it!

Poor old Janine.

Watching Janine waddle around tonight I couldn't help wondering if she didn't have such a fat arse would she have got away?

Ifs, buts and maybes....

Brilliant episode, but Janine was the best thnig in Eastenders this past year by far for me. I dread to think what it'll be like without her I really do...

She's one of my favourite characters EVER, I was dead sad to see her go, especially when Pat didn't see her name scratched in the wall at the end . She can easily come back however, and what a superb way to go, but I'm quite upset to be honest lol..

I actually felt sorry for Janine despite everything she has done, which shows how could an actor Charlie Brooks is.

It was so sad at the end. Pat look at the wall properly!

yes tonights was a great episode i have to admit. janine sh*tting it and flapping round trying to get an alibi/escape in time.. then the keystone cops came and didn't think to storm the back door at the same time as the front.. i thought she was going to get away!!!

and then, when the £50k got thrown up into the air, why on earth didn't kat and alfie dash round and grab some of it..? they only needed £7k !

i missed the bit where she said something about scratching her name in the wall when pat had been left by frank to look after little janine - why was that a crux point?

It was a brilliant episode and i for one am sad to see Janine go as she has been such a brilliant character, played by a fantastic actress! I do agree with some of the above posts though, what will Monday bring? We are bound to be stuck with the Alfie/Kat/Andy story and more of the boring Ferreiras!

They could have tried grabbing the cash but with all the Police around I don't think they'd get too far before they landed themselves a theft charge.

Then again this is the Walford Police who took 3 car loads to catch a girl hobbling about in high heels carrying a heaving suitcase.

If that was in the real East End and 50k went up in the air it would have been gone in 30 seconds, police or no police.

Because Janine was saying about how alone she was and that she used to sit on the wall and scratched her name on the wall but Pat didn't believe her. That's what that last scene was about, Pat going over to the wall then it scanned down to the other side and then you saw that she had indeed scrated Janine on the side of the wall - I do question whether you really would be able to do that with your fingers though!

Great episode!
Whilst I'm gutted that Janine's gone, I think that was a superb exit. Not only was Charlie brilliant, it was great to see some decent acting for once. This storyline has finally (!) given Pat something to do other than ask someone to hold the fort in the caff, and WOW!

It'll be back down to earth with a bump on Monday though.... Alfie Kat Andy - could I care any less?

I was thinking what a great marketing ploy it could have been if Kate's nail bar was opened at the time as I doubt natural nails would manage it.

Beside that I did actually (first the first time in a long time) enjoy EE's tonight with Pat, Paul & Janine. I dare say with the Kat/Alfie/Andy tosh taking it's place it'll be the last time I enjoy it as much.

i was hoping that janine was going to do a runner with the money, and no one would hear of her for a while. then in a few years she would come back as a payback bitch oh well, will have to wait and see.

This was excellent! We need more storylines like this in EE! We need more excellent actors like Charlie. Maybe then the ratings would improve

Martin and Sonia: would anyone really, honestly marry the person who had made them pregnant and then refused responsibility, ran over and killed the love of your life and finally someone who hasn't got two brain cells to rub together and isn't much of a support with Sonia's course. What's going to happen when she has to do nights etc., I can't see Martin being happy - 'we never see each other Son'. 'O Martin, our marriage has to come first, I'll get a job at the Vic/MiniMart/Laundrette.

It looked like it had been done very recently as well!

Lots of kids scratch their names on things and have their daddy leave, but they don't turn into murdering crack whores, i didn't really see the point of her sob story!
