Steph has always been the one who stood out to me, she is the most flawless even if maybe not most suited to Dorothy. You could tell that she blew people away tonight so I was happy.
Sophie is still my favourite, imo she stands out by far in the group performances, has the best/nicest voice and best look when she's not nervous but unfortunately in her solo pieces the nerves get the better of her a bit.

I feel it's too early to write her off because being nervous singing solo in only two live shows doesn't mean she won't get over that soon, others might have more stage experience. If she was bag in group pieces I maybe would write her off but the thing is I'm sure she was nervous for those too just not AS nervous, the same amount of nerves I'd expect her to be for her solo in a few weeks, thus we know with a little less nerves she can be amazing. Make sense? Not sure I explained it right. Her little solo bits in "Never Forget You" group performance are still BY FAR my favourite thing in the whole show so far, -re-listened to it so many times.. Sadly I do think she's going down in ppls opinions and her own too probably which won't help, she just seems way more comfortable in rehearsals. She could be amazing. Personally her face showing nerves makes me love her more but I can see why it's not good and I'll agree that during solo performances other people like Steph and Stephanie look more ar home on a stage, singing effortlessly.

Yes, I don't do concise >.< Too hard..

edit: I'm the only voter on the poll so far so Sophie has 100% if the vote, haha. =]

Although I like Steph, I was kinda prepared for her to go, but I'll be upset if I see the end of Sophie. She's lovely.

What's with the Sophie voters? She's gorgeous, and I like her, but she was very average tonight. Didn't help that she had an awful song choice. Don't know what the song choosers were thinking!

I went for Dani this week. "Home" was beautifully sung, and the emotion was there. Perfect. Last week I voted Bronte.

Your vote is clearly for your favourite Dotty as the poll requests (maybe, as we just see 'favourite') , would be interesting to have a separate poll on who people thought was the best Dotty of this night only.

Mine are certainly different.

I thought she did well, considering the awful song choice. I quite enjoyed her performance at least, didn't think it was as bad as they made out.

I agree with this too actually...I think Steph will have gained a lot of popularity tonight, hadn't noticed her much before.

You're right, Sophie is my favourite Dorothy as opposed to the best one tonight specifically.. but.. idk, knowing she CAN be good and seeing her nervous kinda made me like her (and want to go see her if she got the role) more XD because I think vulnerability is a nice quality which is hard to fake. Sophie can be sexy but also cute and vulnerable and which isn't Dorothy meant to be? Unlike some of them..

If I am voting based just on skill and just from tonight's show then... Steph! I think.. Flawless vocal, dancing (every other girl I can think of let their vocals go bad when focusing on dancing/acting and the judges seemed to let that slide cus they liked the energy! hnuh?!!!) acting, jumps between soft and energised, and after being in bottom two last week, and the audience loved it, she did amazingly!! She looks like she has a good personality too, I wish her voice was natural and curly like it is in the 'behind the scenes', her straightened hair makes her blend in in a bad way and look to 'glam'.

And in the tiny clip of her singing the song with Sheila behind the scenes she actually managed to make the song sound good! It was def just nerves. Part of me makes me warm to her more, looking all nervous (and did you see her mouthing along to other ppls songs? I'm sure I did) but part of me is worried it'll cost her a chance at winning the competition..

Ditto that EXACTLY!!! =]

ps. Can we vote by text? I don't watch these shows usually, never had before and I'd way prefer to text-vote.. but now I'm gonna feel bad if Sophie or Steph gets bottom 2 and I didn't =[

I hope it won't cost her chances...I think if she can get through the next few weeks she's got a decent show. Nerves can be conquered - I think it'll come with more performances, whereas I think other contestants have faults that would be much harder to overcome.

Ahh, I'm glad I know that since I agree with you, Sophie for fave but Steph tonight but I voted for Sophie on this poll. This means Sophie is a bit more popular that this poll shows which makes me happy. I agree, someone make a poll for tonight only and make this one be overall? =]

I agree, she did amazingly tonight, though she's always been flawless but the energy tonight made sure ppl took note since she had to pull it out the bag after being bottom 2. She was actually the first person I noticed even before the live shows, but once they began Sophie overtook her as my fave.

Yes, exactly =]
I've never done this forumy thing before really. It's quite nice having instant conversations, though I feel like I'm spamming this board! Never really watched this kind of reality show before but I like it! None of my family do though.. They guessed Sophie was my fave, I think maybe they thought in a shallow way since we have similar hair, haha.

Just wondering. Do you think people really change their vote based on performances? I'd have thought that people have a fave ir two they always vote for and only chance that if their fave gets knocked out. As in I'd expect the voting to stay quite consistant and maybe even vote harder if they feel their fave sung badly and had a chance of being knocked out..

Haha you're not spamming...your posts are good, don't worry. I love her hair lol! I normally pick a favourite very early on in reality shows, and just go with whoever catchs my eye...it seems to work.

I think there'll be a mixture of the regular viewers who, unless someone is exceptional, will vote for their favourite, and the casual viewers who will vote for the person they like on the night.

I thought Steph was bl**dy marvellous!

Not just wow but effortlessly wow.

Having said that, she still doesn't strike me as Dorothy and nor has she yet been given anything that convinces me that she could be Dorothy. However, there's no denying that the girl has talent and should the public (or the Lord) choose to keep her ahead of a few notinamillionyears Dorothys (however more suitable they may look), I shan't have a problem with that. Her talent deserves the exposure and there's always a chance she may give a performance that shows me she could comfortably do the part in question.
