Thanks to everyone who voted in Round Twenty Nine.

As I commented in the previous thread there was a situation in which three episodes were tied in first place at one point. However some voting after that post left two of those episodes tied in second place with one episode nudging head by just one vote.

So, falling three places from last year and claiming seventh place in the rankings is:- The Doctor Dances

Round Thirty Question:

At the risk of being repetitive I'm going to ask you to rank the second episodes of each Season of New Who so far {I haven't included the specials}. So:-

+ The End Of The World
+ Tooth And Claw
+ The Shakespeare Code
+ The Fires Of Pompeii
+ The Beast Below

Let's see how the latest one measures up!

As with the last round, all votes need to be sent by PM

PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY VOTES ON THE THREAD!

You're choosing the TWO episodes which you like the least. The one with the most votes will be evicted at the end of the round.

You can, if you wish, also put your votes on "auto". This means that any episodes you've voted for that haven't been evicted are carried forward into the next round. It is, however, your responsibility to check whether you need to add any episodes to make sure you've voted for the required number of episodes.

So, it's on with the game then. Time to pick your two least favourite episodes from:-

Season One

01) The Empty Child

Season Three

02) Human Nature
03) The Family Of Blood
04) Blink

Season Four

05) Midnight
06) Turn Left

The deadline for voting in this round is 8pm on Tuesday 13th April

Please remember to submit them by PM.

+ The Shakespeare Code
+ The End Of The World

Is it too late to start voting in this? Also are the 'second' episodes going from best-worst or worst-best?

you can join in any time, though voting is to RK by PM at this point.

I think from the last thread it was ranking the episodes from best to worst...

Tooth and Claw
The Shakespeare Code
The End of the World
The Beast Below

For me I'd say....

Fires of Pompeii-everything about it was amazing
The Beast Below-a great rich and full of depth story
Tooth and Claw- Just so much fun and scary at times.
The Shakespeare Code- it's Shakespeare!!
The End of the World- may come last, but certainly don't hate it...has some very great moments, and will be memorable for being the first time I was eager to watch an episode of Doctor Who...after I watched Rose just for the sake of CE and because there wasn't anything else on.

after my second viewing this morning, I would now have the same ranking as you. TBB goes up a spot, but FOP is untouchable.

The Fires of Pompeii (way above any of the other 2nd episodes)

Tooth and Claw

The Beast Below
The Shakespeare Code

The End of the World.

Auto for me please RK

+ The Beast Below - I adored this episode but it may take 2nd place on repeat viewing as I also loved FoP
+ The Fires Of Pompeii - a very close 2nd
+ The Shakespeare Code - hard to decide the placing of this and TaC but I think the HP references put this slightly above TaC
+ Tooth And Claw
+ The End Of The World - I still liked it but definitely my least favourite out of the five

1. The Fires Of Pompeii
2. The Beast Below
3. The End of the World - I'm surprised by how many people seem to like this one least. Was it because of Cassandra, or...?

And a bit less...
4. The Shakespeare Code
5. Tooth And Claw

I just didn't like the story. The only bit I actually like (and I really love these moments) are: "what are you gonna do? moisturise me!", Nine and Rose holding hands watching the earth die, and Nine and Rose back on earth talking about going to get some chip among other things.

I'm kind of surprised your surprised given this episode got voted out earlier than the other episode 2's though...
