That would be good eventually but as I recall we take it in turn. Nu-Who, Old Who, Torchwood. So if that's the case the next game should about Old Who

I think a classic who villains would be cool!

Course the shortlisting would be hard to get to a manageable number.....

We could have a preliminary vote. Everyone could nominate 10 villains from each of the first 7 Doctors. Then RK could tabulate the vote and come up with 7 villains for each Doctor giving a total of 49. In order to round up that number up to 50 we could add the version of the Master from the McGann tv movie

The idea is a good one.

In terms of shortlisting I don't think it would be too bad. I'd have to take out any villains from stories that are totally missing from the Archives and be a little selective on some of the others.

Having a starting list of between 50 - 100 wouldn't be too problematical at all I think.

Would you count the five Masters as five seperate characters??

I'm kind of surprised your surprised given this episode got voted out earlier than the other episode 2's though...”

It was? Shows how much I pay attention! Out of sight (the list to choose from), out of mind for me, I guess.

Not sure. You could, of course, argue that the Daleks and The Cybermen also changed over the course of their stories.

If that Survivor is going to be run it's perhaps better to chop it into two bits and run one for Harntnell / Troughton / Pertwee and one of Tom / Davison / Colin / McCoy.

The changes to the Daleks and Cybermen were merely upgrades so to speak whereas if you treat the various Doctors as seperate characters the same should go for the Master although it could be argued that the Pratt/Beevers Master was the same incarnation.

As for splitting the game into two you could have 50 villains from Hartnell/Troughton/Pertwee and play that game until you have 25 left, then do the same for Tom/Davison/Colin/McCoy/Mcgann and then combine the two list of 25 for a final game

Possibly, although after thinking about things I think that it would probably be better to run 3 separaate ones rather than two. Tom Baker featured in 41 stories on his own with is about as many as Davison / Baker and McCoy combined and almost as many as Hartnell / Troughton and Pertwee if you discount all the missing episodes.

It's quite possible that the beast below could move when seeing it again and putting it in context after seeing the rest of the series - it certainly happened like that for the fires of pompeii.

I was never a big fan of the end of the world and never have managed to put my finger on why, even if it did mean we could have the character of Casandra appearing in series 2. The chances are if I catch any of the others repeated on TV I will get sucked into watching it again.

So my current ordering is:

1) Tooth And Claw
2) The Fires Of Pompeii
3) The Beast Below
4) The Shakespeare Code
5) The End Of The World

Could we include Eric Roberts as the Master too if you go for separating the Masters ? It'd be fun to see him go quite quickly
