I've got Over the Rainbow set to record on series link. When first setting it I was asked if I wanted to record SD or HD version. I selected HD version, however the results shoe tonight was not shown on HD due to Golf (why this needs to be in HD I'll never know!). I've therefore missed the results show tonight. Shouldn't the BBC have sent a signal to record the SD feed as the HD feed wasn't showing the programme tonight?

What makes it worse is that the front page of this site has just shown me who was voted off before I've had the chance to watch it on iplayer.

You're absolutely right of course and I have had ear ache off the wife all evening because of it! (we're watching it on iPlayer just now...)

I'm not sure how they could achieve what you are asking unfortunately...

One thing I do know, my wife will not be recording any series event off of BBC HD in the future!

There was another twist or two for me..
I had series programmed for the SD and HD progs of 'Dorothy' to record..
as i record some tunes later for the better music sound..and use the SD prog in the same folder to avoid stocking up the Hard drive..
But we were planning to watch the New start of 'Foyles war' on ITV but the Planner insisted that there was aconflict..
and yet I thought that 'Record 2 and watch another' is axiomatic for a 2 cable input..seemingly not so..
but this then may have been a byeproduct of your misfortunes..
My wife then decided to watch 'Dorothy' and i programmed the Panasonic for 'Foyles War'
and decided to watch 'Foyle' later with the benefit of ADs FFWD..'
When 'Dorothy' was finished a quick peep at the Panny showed that it would end at the pre- supposed end..
thus losing the last 1/4 hour of a complex 2hour show..
I then progged the Humax to record the rest of Foyle and watched the final 15 minute shown on that..
What a night.. all because of the now even more popular golf
with women looking at Tiger and saying "What did those women see in him?"
although i was wondering if it's Racial Discrimination of him to prefer only white women mistresses?

No, it depends entirely on the combinations of transponders/frequencies being received...

What you need is Graham's FoxsatRecordCheck011.xls spreadsheet to be able to predict how it will work...
(see another thread...)

Set your favourites/bookmark to http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/ then you can get to the forums without having to see the front page, then when you do want to view the front page just click the home link on the left of the page.
