Does anyone have the Panasonic DMRXS350 MR?
I'm thinking of getting one of these over the Foxsat...
It has dual Freesat tuners, a 250gb hard disk, a built in DVD recorder and DivX playback. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with one... Are there any issues? Can one record from one channel whilst watching another when there is just one satellite feed? (I live in flats). Can a favourites list be set up? Is it possible to view non Freesat channels and can they be recorded, set up along with the Freesat ones? cheers GN |

Hi, I have instead BS850, which I very happy with
I turned it on when I bought it, & havent turned it off yet the upscaling circuitry is very good, it only has two tuners which must have seperate feeds, you really do need a widescreen TV, preferably with HDMI 1080p, only minus I can think of is no guide text gets stored with recording Blu-ray saving is really usefull on BS850 you can save and record other sattelite channels or feeds from scart by timer or directly while using freesat or vice versa, but no DISEQ, If you only have one feed I think Panny will not be able to select channels on each tuner correctly, there is no setting in menus to say use one feed only that I can see. short favourite list of freesat channels is possible but you have to select it each time you press EPG button |

I have had one for 3 weeks. Very pleased with it. I have 2 wires coming from my dish. If you only have 1, you can only record one programme at a time. You can also send stuff you want to keep to record on blank DVD's. Having the DVD built in saves you from having yet another box/remote control and more wires.
