I don't think this has been mentioned but in Doomsday when Rose was clinging on to the lever and her hands were slipping as the daleks were being sucked into the void. The look of terror on her face was really well played. And at this point we knew Rose was leaving but she could have very easily died. My heart was pumping really fast I can tell you, in a way no other story has.

Pretty much all of the above! I actively avoid spoilers (even though it's reeeeally hard!) because nothing beats that "OMFG!" moment. Love it!

"I am the Bad Wolf. I create myself".

Then again the fury of a timelord, at the end of 'The Family of Blood', was pretty intense.

Which reminds me: the Remembrance Day scene from Family of Blood is one of the stunning set-pieces in the series as far as I'm concerned

Couldn't agree more.

That was it! I knew it was something in another language, just not sure what

Thats's fine. That one little scene brought tears to my eyes. It gave me a flash of all different emotion. First humour, then almost shock and then it brought the tears on.

Yea, that was awesome. The music built up to it too. You knew it was coming, but were never prepared.

'Bad Wolf.'

Every hair on on hairy manly hands stood up!”

Yep - this is mine also - although the hairs were on my womanly hands!

BWAHAHA! I can confirm that.

I of course was perfectly composed. *cough*

Yeah. That was an amazing moment. Probably the
best DW cliffhanger since "Androzani" part 3.

Oh, another one I loved: when the Daleks and Cybermen met.

Didn't make the hairs on my neck stand up, but it did make me laugh

Rose appearing at the start of series 4, and Donna saying "bad wolf" at the end of Turn Left.

yes i agree....I remember being in tears from that very point! And then when both the Doctor sceamed Rose's name, and Rose just screamed....that sent chills down my back...in fact it still does!

Yana turning into the Master: Genius acting, really done with just the eyes in close -up.

Even though I hated the little spud, the Death of Adric and the silent titles with the crushed gold star. Genuinely didn't see it coming!

The Doctor having to turn Donna back into 'Dim-Donna': Heartbreaking.

Thought he'd pull it out of the hat somehow and save Astrid too..

The Brigadiers whole "Get off my planet" speech and then I thought he'd karked it. What? You can't kill the Brig!!!

I agree with most of the moments already said but there's one from the New Series that made me stop and pay proper attention to Matt Smith.

I'm well and truly a part of the David Tennant camp but at the end of episode one where the Doctor was talking to the Atraxi was on the screen and you could just see Smith's silhouette behind the blue projection as he was finishing off his costume and then he walked straight through the image of David Tennant and disolved it before saying "I'm the Doctor" I was totally blown away. That was the first time in the episode I thought yeah that's still the Doctor.

Read 'Human Nature'. It's even better (though if not a fan of the Seventh Doctor, possibly avoid).

That bit in Emergency Program One in Parting of the Ways where the hologram of Nine was facing forward and then it suddenly turned and looked right at Rose and said "Do that for me, Rose. Have a fantastic life."

That gave me more of a chill than a lot of the "scary" bits ever did, for some reason.
