The Doctor, Amy and the series Arc thoughts (possible spoilers)

I've been reading on these boards and elsewhere about stuff going on in the background about cracks, and Amy, Jeff, Rory, the kitchen sink's involvement with the "cracks" and the "silence will fall".

I believe that when the big reveal finally comes, we will find out the Doctor knows all along, and that Amy may be heavily involved in it.

When she first comes on board the TARDIS, she asks "Why me?" and the Doctor replies about travelling on his own, and talking to himself etc etc.

BUT, as he's walking around the console, he looks at the smaller scanner, listens to it, then switches it OFF. almost like he doesn't want her to see.

The TARDIS arrived in Leadworth, out of all the places it could, where there was a crack.

The TARDIS then arrives at Starship UK, by chance, and it too has a crack.

Are the Cracks and the TARDIS drawing or following each other? or Amy??

Is something else going to come through a Crack that causes the Silence? or is the cause of the Silence causing the Cracks?

Could it be something to do with Gallifrey? When the Doctor was talking about being the last, he kind of paused. The Time Lords are Time-locked, not dead, so he's not the last at all. They seem to exist in some kind of bubble universe. They have tried to get out once before, maybe they are doing again?

seeing as there's now a number of threads like the above, I posted a while back, I'm bumping it as some people have stated the same!!

I don't think the Doctor is aware of the cracks (and I think they're following the Tardis or Amy), but I do think he knows there's something up with Amy, and one of the reasons he's bringing her along is to keep an eye on her and figure it out.

Really doubt we'll see the Time Lords again this series.

I think the cracks and Amy are linked. She probably doesn't even know it, and she'll be more surprised than the Doctor when she's revealed to be the Many-Tentacled Blob from the planet Oompah-Pah.

I figured the whole thing about Amy having no parents would cut out the constant running home for an episode of Domestic Who, but maybe there's a more sinister reason she's an "orphan"...

I think its going ok so far - I quite like Matt as the new Doctor - but I think its going to take him one series to really get to grips.

One little annoyance I have with this series - whats with all the Scottish nationalistic crap from Amy? (last week we had "Scotland decided to go it alone - good for them" - this week we had "he's a scottish genius - you'd best listen to him".) Amy Pond is Scottish - yeh ok we get it.

Do you have a problem when the Doctor mentions Gallifrey? Or that he's got two hearts? Why is Amy talking about being Scottish a problem when she's Scottish?

Did Rose, Martha or Donna keep highlighting that they were English in virtually every episode?

Just seems her "Scottishness" is being highlighted in every episode so far - is that all her character is defined by? Also dont get your analagy to the doctor. How many times has the doctor mentioned gallifrey this series?

Not much point in bringing that up when you're surrounded by English people, is there?

Donna did bring up being from Chiswick a fair bit.
