During the years since Brrokside was axed some of the actors have not been seen on television. What has happened to them. I know Claire Sweeney and Jennifer Ellison is still doing well and also Raymond Quinn. Tina Malone has been very successful in Shameless. Whatever happened to Diane Burke, Alex Fletcher & Tiffany Chapma to name a view.
The last I heard about Justine Kerrigan, assuming you believe the stories reported in the tabloid press, was that she was teaching acting to psychiatric patients in mental hospital.

Jason Hope, who played Rod Corkhill didn't, remain in acting. He trained to be a hairdresser. There was a television programme several years ago about soaps and what the actors did afterwards - a little like what they did before they were famous, but in reverse.

Shelagh O'Hara, who played Karen Grant, didn't stay in an acting career either. In fact, it's a mystery what she did afterwards.

Simon O'Brien can be seen most weekday mornings, presenting To Buy Or Not To Buy. He also left the acting profession and took up property development.

Some people just can't make a living out of acting. As many actors will attest, it can be a lonely life, with large periods spent out of work. Sometimes, it is a matter of luck and being in the right place at the right time, and sometimes, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

They couldnt suddenly have an influx of scousers on Eastenders
I think that sums it up. Brookie was Liverpool based, and most of the actors were Liverpool actors. There's not all that much telly made in Liverpool. Quite a few of the Brookie actors do theatre work in the north and, as others have said, some of the actors are seen in Corrie and Hollyoaks (other Northern programmes). And Louis Emerick in Summer Wine.

Also Sarah White who played Bev was really funny and Karen Drury who played Susannah was a very good actress. They could use her in soaps.
Bev was hilarious! I have seen Karen Drury on stage at least once in the last couple of years, and I know she does loads of stage tours. As does Stephen Pinder.

I've seen Steven Pinder who played Max Farnham in a few things since Brookside ended and Gabrielle Glaister who played one of his onscreen wives has also been onscreen quite a bit. There are actually quite a few of them still around it just seems not many have high profile roles.
Probably the people who are getting the most high-profile work are those not Liverpool based. Gabrielle Glaister did loads of telly before she was Patricia Farnham (Bob "short for Kate" in Blackadder) and will still be doing bits and bobs as she isn't Liverpool based.

I saw her before Easter in the touring theatre adaptaion of Columbo. Her American accent was appalling, and the murder scene had us in stiches but it was enjoyable enough.

Robert Beck played Peter Harrison in Brookside and recently appeared in Corrie as Jimmy Docherson.

Paul Broughton played Eddie Banks in Brookside and appeared in Corrie as the Solicitor who advised Les Battersby following his attack by Status Quo (Yes the mind boggles!)

Paul Usher played Barry Grant in Brookside and spent a while on The Bill

Lynsey McCaffrey played Ruth Gordon in Brookside and appeared in Casualty as Sarah Austen for 3 episodes in October 2005

Does anyone know where Andrea Marshall (Sarah Banks 1994-96) or Suzanne Collins (Nikki Shadwick 1998-2003) are now?

Tiffany Chapman was in Hollyoaks about a year ago playing a nurse (I think). I know she use to work in Harvey Nicholls in Manchester selling make up, not sure if she still does.

Alex Fletcher was a really good actress, its a shame she's never been heard of since Brookie finsihsed

Also Diane Burke who played Katie Rogers and Suzanne Collins who played Nikki Shadwick. Sarah White was very funny. She would go down well in another soap. Also Dean Sullivan who played Jimmy Corkhill could be used in soap. He was brilliant in Brookside.

One of the Musgroves joined Hollyoaks as the character he had been in Brookside. I think that is the only time a person has transfered like that. I remember rumours when Brookside finished was that some of them would turn up in Hollyoaks as their Brookie character but it never happened.

The mum of the incest siblings (Nat and Georgia) was short and a brunette (dark with a tint of red?). Georgia herself was tall and blonde. I always wonder whether the actors would be able to find work after that storyline.

That is the actress who played Eleanor Kitson, Ollie Simpson's solicitor girlfriend after his wife Belle left him (or Eleanor Kitsoff as his youngest son called her ) Lisa Faulkner (who went on to be in Holby and Spooks played her daughter, Louise Hope.

I saw Alex in a episode of doctors when I was flicking through the channels. I am sure my mum told me that Tiffany was in it too (or maybe I remember that wrong)
