The Daleks 1-7, Dalek Invasion of Earth 1-6, The Space Museum part 4, The Chase 1-6, Mission to the Unknown, Dalek Masterplan 1-12, Power of the Daleks 1-6, Evil of the Daleks 1-7, Day of the Daleks 1-4, Frontier in Space part 6, Planet of the Daleks 1-6, Death to the Daleks 1-4, Genesis 1-6, Destiny 1-4, The Five Doctors, Resurrection 1-2, Revelation 1-2, Remembrance 1-4, Dalek, Bad Wolf, The Parting of the Ways, Army of Ghosts, Doomsday, Evolution of the Daleks, Daleks in Manhattan, The Stolen Earth and Journey's End.”

That's a fair enough criteria, but the list isn't correct. In quite a few Episode 1's that you have listed they didn't have speaking parts! I do think Water of Mars should count as well, as the Dalek wasn't an empty shell and wasn't a flashback, even if it didn't actually speak, and was central to the plot.

Couldn't have been all that central, as I don't even recall a Dalek in Waters of Mars. Where was it?

Through the sky light in the attic, when she was a little girl. The Dalek supposedly spared her as it could sense that she was important to the future.

Ack! Can't believe I forgot that... must watch it again!

I suppose that could qualify as a flashback even though it wasn't a reused clip.

I'm really enjoying this "3 clips and an intro to the ep" routine we seem to be getting so far looks exciting. Amy was funny in that 3rd clip.

For me its got to be the first ever one which I watched as a 7 year old and the suspense of having to wait a whole week to find out what was going to happen next. Oh and the first glimpse of the actual Dalek creature. Will always remember the Dalek emerging from the Thames too in the 2150AD story.

Stolen Earth/Journey's End, this episode was just EPIC and brought everything full circle to an amazing fourth series.
Daleks were actually scary again and Davros...AMAZING! the two parter just blew me away actually, some may criticize the episodes or storyline or whatever but i thought it was a very grand spectacle of a plot that although managed to be resolved quicker than i had anticipated it was by far the most grand scale Dalek episode of the show thus far, plus old characters were brought back too! it combined great action and drama.

i actually find Genesis really great too! i mean it is acclaimed for a reason!

Victory Of The Daleks looks set to be yet another amazing episode of the fifth series, Matt Smith is just amazing in every single way, love him! and Amy Pond too, best companion yet?? most definitely!
Eleventh Hour and Beast Below were both stunning episodes that has shown the direction the show is going in without too much of a give away of the main story arc or Big Bad of the series.
i love Mark Gatiss' work too on League Of Gentlemen and his previous episodes of Doctor Who too, but Victory Of The Daleks just looks amazing in every way in terms of plot, action, time, setting and structure and the Daleks look so very awesome and scary in a very dramatic sense! i think it will be one of the best 45 minutes of my television viewing life of being a Who fan! so i have high hopes that the episode will be the greatest by far!

also the Radio Times cover is stunnin!!!!

Couldn't agree more, it is rather amazing just how quickly he has made the role his own. A wonderful bit of casting by SM.

And Karen Gillan is showing some very nice touches, in playing it straight as well as a rather nice deft comedy touch in the role. It sounds like she will be getting her 'Rose's Father day' Martha's Human Nature and Catherine Tate's Turn Left' companion episode in Amy's Choice (I think that is what it is called) for her character to take the next step as it were.

Im really looking forward to seeing how these two develop over this and the next series.
