Source please.
The pros are used to much longer than 8 hour days - weren't Ricky and Natalie training until 2am finals week? 8 hour days are nothing for a lot of people, including the pro dancers - think about how long a day they do for a Saturday show - could be up to about 15 hours, so 8 is nothing.
And Chris and Ola trained much later than normal as well.
And all the pros get injuries - James talked about that on ITT, that they all live with injuries (and indeed Kristina had to have an operation, didn't she? And Ola's broken James' nose while they've been dancing before

) but they know how to cope with them because they're unavoidable in the job they do.
At the end of the day, they wouldn't have signed up to do the tour if they didn't want to commit to it - they all know what it's like to do a tour, and they put in equally long if not longer hours to do both celeb and pro dances on the celeb tour (and V&F know what that's like from previous years!). Judging by their Twitter posts they're all enjoying it - and if they're not they probably just wouldn't post anything. I don't believe that 'word' for a second - the professionals are just that: professional, so they know what they're doing, and after all, they dance because they love it....
