Oh and by the way, not everyone hates Eastenders as much as the people on this forum, I think youll find it still has a very high following!

And as for the people crying "FIX!!"

Lets look at the facts

Eastenders - younger audience more likely to read the sun or some tabliod, more likely to have the internet meaning they are more aware of the awards.

Coronation - older audience (than EE) less likely to read tabloids or have access to the internet and may not even know how to vote!

I can see how Jessie/ Kat won best female since she is featured in Heat heavely?

Very very true, and this is what I hate about these things. The same goes for the National TV Awards.

Make it all panel voted I say.

There's obviously been a huge mistake, Shane Richie won Best Actor! They've probably just said this as a joke and on the night we'll see people winning awards they acually deserved! Shuts the press up for a bit!

I agrees with you a 100%. I am 17 years old, have acess to the internet, vote via the internet, all vote were for EE.
I must say I have watch the soap awards since it start and this was the first time I vote. Because last year EE did very bad at the awards show.
It was NOT A FIX, as I could not vote again via the internet as said you have already voted. I dont think that teenage would go out and buy tens of What on TV mags just so EE winners. Most teenage (99%) are not that sad there most likely vote just the ones.
WELL DONE EASTENDERS!

I agree with people about Jessie Wallace winning sexiest female. Big Mo is sexier

But I have to disagree about Suranne Jones, I don't think she deserved best actress. She can't act, all she does is shout and scream through gritted teeth. I'll probably be shoot down for this but I think there are much better actresses throughout the soaps then her.

If you are referring to me saying the results, you didn't have to click on this topic. That is the reason i wrote the title as The Results of the Awards so if anyone didn't want to know, they just didn't have to look at this topic.

If theses awards meant anything they wouldn't have categories such as "Sexiest...." and "Best Bitch"... What sort of achievment is that? I think for the "Best Soap" award there should be a panel vote. In all fairness to EE it has had a bad year without a Bafta nomination, and rightly so. I think Corrie should be calling for a government enquiry into this result. The reality is in the past year Corrie has been of a higher quality than EE.
