Hi Guys, This isn't exactly 'cookery' so hope you don't mind me asking this on here but I don't know who else to ask.

I bought some of these foam bananas

http://www.bestbritishsweets.co.uk/r...as-sweets.html

I then melted some dairy milk chocolate, dipped them all in it and left them to set.....delicious

Question is, can anyone tell me how long will they keep fresh?

I done them on Sunday and noticed this morning that some little white circle patches appear to be growing on them ....is this mould? I have them on a tray covered in cling film and it's only been 2 days, I thought they would keep for at least a week. I have never even baked a cake my whole life so without a 'use by' date I have no clue about these things, so appreciate any replies from you .....thanks guys

They should keep for quite a while. Chocolate sometimes does funny things when its heated but its still OK to eat.

When you heat chocolate and then it cools the cocoa rises to the surface, this doesnt mean the chocolate is bad or "mouldy" the white/grey is just cocoa
Leave a bar of choc in sunlight for even a short tome and same will happen

it is fine

when you re-heat chocolate you need to go through a tempering process to break down the fat crystals

all you are seeing is the fat crystals, often called bloom
