Not technically about a soap, but I couldn't find a thread under TV programmes, but wondered if anyone else saw Amy Nuttall's performance in the Stars in Their eyes Celebrity show last night.

WOW! Where did THAT voice come from? What a fantastic operatic voice. Powerful, yet beautiful and those high notes! She could easily take the lead in any West End Show. I was gobsmacked, made the rest look like amateurs.

She was truly OUTSTANDING. I knew she was a trained singer and had done shows before, but that was absolutely incredible...

ahh really Drifter? I didn't know that. She's one talented girl and with her stunning looks too, well the sky's the limit as far as her future's concerned. Infinitely better than Sarah Brightman too! IMO

She was in Phantom Of The Opera when she was just 17......And eventually became an understudy to the lead, she ended up doing many performances when the lead singer was absent...... So Im not surprised that she won, she has got a truly amazing voice....... (by the way the reason I know this is becasue I know friends of her parents) *xxx*

Did she win? Good for her! I knew it was on but I forgot to watch it. How did Beverley Callard do as Cher and where there any other soapstars performing on it?

I didn't watch it, mainly cos I saw a picture of Beverley Callard as Cher and wanted to get to sleep without nightmares - it wasn't pleasant

Gotta agree with you all there. Yes she had a truly amazing superb voice. She was in a completely different league to the others.

Beverley Callard as Cher was dreadful. Mind you she is a pretty dreadful actress too.

I saw it too, and thought that Amy was amazing too.
Beverley Callard looked like one of the Witches of Eastwick.

I haven't heard her.
