4th - The Deadly Assassin
5th - The Caves of Androzani

10th - Blink

Having recently rewatched 'The Brain of Morbius' I think it's a cracking story and strangely repellent. No wonder Mary Whitehouse had a s***-fit when it was first broadcast.

1: The Aztecs (of those that exist)
2: The Invasion (of those that exist)
3: The Daemons
4: City of Death
5: The Caves of Androzani
6: Revelation Of The Daleks, I guess. Jubilee if I'm allowed to pick a BF.
7: Survival
9: The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances
10: Utopia

The Caves of Androzani is probably my overall favourite.

Going way back to the original Doctor - I loved The Celestial Toymaker. Pity that some of it is missing.

Blink and Turn Left, Blink is the slightly better of the two as Turn Left suffers from hyperbole.

The Satan Pit and The Impossible Planet are terribly underrated.
Sorry

My fave is the Ark in Space. It was the story where Tom Baker really started to bring his personality into the open. Harry was great in it too.

One of my favourites is Inferno: "In that case you won't feel the bullets when we shoot you". For once the Earth is actually destroyed (OK, it's not our Earth, of course, but it was the real Earth to those who lived in the parallel universe).

All time favourite though is Daleks' Masterplan, and I was so happy in 2004 when Episode 2 was recovered! (If I could wish for one currently missing episode to be recovered it would be Episode 12 of Masterplan and seeing the effects of the Time Destructor.)

I never see 'The Awakening' getting much praise so I'll just say that it's one of the most vivid stories that I remember watching as a kid. I watched it last year again and enjoyed it almost as much: full of atmosphere and detail and the Civil War-type setting is wonderful. And the Malus scared me when it peered out from behind the wall

Yes, 'Inferno' is a supreme story!

Actually I find it very hard to chose a favourite (depends on my mood really).

New Who:

The empty child/Doctor dances - really great story, creepy and thoughtful

Midnight - just very creepy and unusual.

(many more including, Dalek, Family of blood, Blink, Waters of Mars etc).

Classic:

City of Death - brilliant script, I do like Douglas Adams, and the chemistry between Romana and the Dr is sublime.

Green Death - very sad ending, and we get a first glimpse of an emotional doctor.

Curse of Fenric, Rememberance of the Daleks - I like them both, somehow scary and atmospheric.

The two doctors - Good fun, has the 2nd doctor and Jamie in it, and I love the vegetarian agenda.

The unearthly child - because it's weird and wonderful.

I could mention many more.

Human Nature/Family Of Blood and Blink

The only stories I will never tire of re-watching.

The Horns Of Nimon!!!!

Seriously though

1st - Dalek Invasion Of Earth / The Romans

2nd - Tomb Of The Cybermen / Loved Invasion novelisation by Ian Marter

3rd - The Sea Devils

4th - The Ark In Space / Horror Of Fang Rock / Brain Of Mobius/ City Of Death / Logopolis (introduction of one of my fave companions and just a gripping story)

5th - Kinda / Five Doctors (the first DW video I bought) / (haven't watched caves for a while but just bought it the other day so this might change)

6th - Terror Of The Vervoids (That cliffhanger freaked me out when I was young, love the trial season)

7th Curse Of Fenric (Hands down his best story)

8th - The Tv movie (I really like it)

9th - Dalek

10th - Impossible Planet (Part one only) / 42 / Midnight

11th - Too early to say

I'm amazed I didn't pick any of the usual suspects like any SM episodes, while I do like them and they really stand out for me as highlights of the season I have to say that those episode probably stand up better for me as actual episodes, while I must say I do really enjoy the SM stories for what they are entertainment.

I'm unsure whether the Ark in space or Logopolis would win overall as best episode since I have not watched AIS for a while (due to not having a video player in my flat!) Fenric also rates very high for me but again it's on video

None of the specials make it in to my top list in fact I rate them further down my list of episodes...

I do also quite like the Lazarus Experiment as I was very entertained by it when I re-watched it recently and that I feel is good enough for me.

I must say the end of Utopia is also excellence

Sorry for rambling on for so long

The Mind Robber is probably my favourite Who story.

I love The Caves of Androzani, Terror of the Zygons (the first Who I ever watched!), Inferno, Planet of the Spiders, Dalek, Genesis, City of Death (for all its silliness), Utopia (although I thought The Sound of Drums was terrible) and Morbius.

Oh yes, I love The Awakening. The Malus was very creepy.
Shame the story is always associated with the awful Frontios though, because they were released together on VHS because Awakening is only 2 episodes. Not sure about the DVD release though.

If I was to list ALL the Doctor Who stories I rate highly it would be a hell of a long list, I tried to pick my absolute favourite story and still ended up listing about 15 possibilities.

The Malus was the very first story I remember. All I remembered was a face in a fireplace. Which wasn't quite right. It was a face in a wall...

First story!

LOL I like how different everyone's opinions are.
Frontios is my least fave 5th Doctor story.

I love it when episodes that aren’t generally regarded as out and out classics just pop their heads up now and again.

A much underestimated dark episode imo, love the ‘silent’ escape pod scene.
