Nothing due as far as I'm aware - most bugs have been addressed. What problems have you been having ?.

My BT Vision box has been awful since December. I'm cancelling my Bronze pack in the morning and binning the box.

What firmware are you running? Loud humming is probably a hardware issue though...

When I connect the BT Vision box with HDMI I get an error saying "HD not supported" or some such. I have no trouble using the same TV with my Freesat HD box, so clearly the problem is not the TV.

The fan noise from the BT Vision box is getting really annoying, I am planning to ditch it when I can.

what's your tv red ?

i have heard of people pulling the fan cable out from the vision box.
not that i advise it - up to you if you think it could handle it given where it's located and other near by heat sources.

Well, curiously after trying to bin BT Vision they sent a really superb engineer round who said the box was at fault and swapped it out for (another silver) one fresh out of the box.

Strangely my old box, under STB/CPU read "Phillips XXXX" and some numbers. Under STB serial number it always said "Not Available".

The replacement box says "PACE" under STB/CPU and has a serial number. Not only that it's far snappier and responsive, quieter on fan noise and generally better behaved than the previous box, even when that was running well.

Thats interesting, mine initially said phillips too but after the D8 update it reverted to pace. mind you my silver is a 2nd gen silver. I wonder if yours is a 1st gen silver?

*1st gen silver has a phone port and 2xUSB on the back
*2nd gen silver has no phone port and only 1xUSB on the back.
*3rd gen black is based on the 2nd gen silver and is virtually the same except in cosmetic looks. Perhaps a faster cpu?

For those wondering about HDMI issues, these boxes used to have a severe issue on philips TV's, some sony's and some samsung's and clones with the audio NOT syncing. so you'd get a picture but no sound. on some phillips the handshake in the protocol used to drop and thus got no pic and no sound.

since D8 most of those issues have been resolved but some TV's still don't play ball, and it appears to be phillips tv's still. (and clones).

My akura used to fail with the no sound sync, till D8 fixed it.
