Former Sugababe Keisha Buchanan has been lined up for the next Strictly Come Dancing.

Beeb bosses have approached the singer, who is in LA laying down tracks with Dallas Austin for her solo album. And we hear Keisha, 25, is keen to take on the challenge.

A pal tells us: "Keisha was thrilled when asked to be part of the show. But she is a little apprehensive.

"In the Sugababes, it was all about the singing. They never really danced. So the training would be really hard for her.

"Her pal Alesha Dixon saw her solo career really take off after Strictly and she's hoping that it could help her, too. "She has so much on, it depends on whether she can fit it all in. "But she is seriously keen. It's one of the only reality shows she would ever consider." '

If true, that could be interesting as apparently she's a right little madam and the main reason for all the aggravation in the band (allegedly!).

If it's true it could be interesting, but if it's leaked she might find herself not on it after all - the BBC might not be happy

Well.. Siobhan, Amelle, AND Heidi all said she was a b*tch. And she even publicly slagged off Mutya after she left, I don't know why Mutya forgave her, or can sit and pretend Keisha is some lovely girl when every girl to have ever been in the band has complained about her.

Can't see her lasting very long, but I love to be proved wrong every now and again x

Yeah the rumours say she's a bitch, but you never know, she could be lovely. She's small at 5'2 i think so one for Darren or Vincent.

If Darren gets her, then she better be a good dancer because this year HAS to be his year

That could be good. I don't really care much for what's gone on in the Sugababes, but I'm all for having celebs like Keisa, that DO have a story, then those z-listers that aren't really known for anything worthwhile.


Did it? I don't follow much on Alesha throughout the rest of the year, but I didn't hear anything about Alesha's music career. I know she released The Boy Does Nothing and Breathe Slow, but that was all. They hardly set the music world alight.

Only problem is, it just drags up the whole fiasco again. TBH, we heard enough of the whole Sugababes vs. Keisha debate when it happened, it's just daft to bring it up again. Especially since all the girls seem to just want to move on.

I didn't know she was mates with Alesha but i can see that coming up if she does take part and Alesha is still a judge.

She's had a hit album, been on tour - another hit with a song she co wrote with Gary Barlow "To Love Again" , presented a programme on absent fathers, co-presented Children In Need, to name a few things she has done since Strictly - she may not have set the music world alight, but she is doing well. For someone who was cheated on by her husband, lost a recording contract, she picked herself up and is getting on with her career - Keisha has had a lot of bad press, I guess she would like some of Alesha's success.

She wouldnt actually be that bad a choice if true. Shes not super famous, but her being on there certainly is going in the right direction.
