Some sausage advice please!
Get your minds out of the gutter, it isn't friday yet!
![]() I have just bought some pork and chili sausages and have no idea what to do with them. Some sort of casserole might be good but I wouldn't know where to start. Any clue guys? Cheers |

Seen as they are decent (ish) ones just eat them as they come (cooked obviously)

How about some apple and onion gravy?
Finely slice an onion and gently soften in a little oil (so they go soft and transluscent rather than crispy). Add a spoonful of flour and then some chicken stock to make a gravy. Grate in a bramley apple and a small splodge of English mustard and simmer to allow the apple to break down. My mum used to make this sauce for pork, but it'd be great with sausages too, served with mash. Yum

I don't like wasting a flavoured sausage in something else, I'd rather eat them in a nice baguette with some onions and mustard. Mmm, grain mustard.
Sticking them in a casserole is going to disguise their flavour imo. |

Big baking tray, the sausages, chopped up chunks of 3 different coloured capsicums, quartered red onions (as many as you like to eat), whole cherry tomatoes (ditto), some chorizo if you fancy it, drizzle olive oil, season with salt and pepper, sprinkle over a pinch of mixed herbs, whack in the oven (180 degrees celsius) for 45 minutes to an hour!!
Done. Serve with mashed potato and a green veg. |

Like anything, buy the best ingredients you can afford and do as little as possible to them.
That was Gary Rhodes I think, but whoever said it they were spot on! |

Unless you want to use them for some kind of sexual activity, which I wouldn't recommend, since they've got Chile in them

Eating them would be my suggestion.

Add a small amount of smoked paprika, ground cumin, chilli powder and black pepper to the beans if you want to make it a bit more interesting. My own version of mean beanz

You can remove the skin and use them in a quick stew.
Here's an example Sausage ragu with polenta (or mash )
