Apparantly Doctor Who will be 'reviewed' on You Have Been Watching tonight C4 at 10pm - saw it on the TV Forum

I like Charlie Brooker, wonder what he makes of the new series.

He might do a quiz or something since it's a panel show.

As i said in another thread, Charlie Brooker is a fan.

Well they didn't criticise it too badly lol. Charlie Brooker likes Matt Smith.

I saw the K-9 and Company opening titles - looked terrible! lol. repeated the same images lol.

Populist Drama Of The Year, incidentally, is a different category altogether, and that award goes to the Blink episode of Doctor Who, simultaneously the best piece of sci-fi AND horror the BBC has produced in a decade.

He's written about it enthusiastically since its return in 2005. There was a great Screen Burn piece in the Guardian Guide on the Saturday Doomsday was transmitted where he went on about how it was the best thing on TV, how brilliant Billie Piper had been, etc..

He is a fan but he's pretty even-keeled about his reviews. Back in an early Screenwipe episode he reviewed the show with both praise and criticism. But I'll never forget his review of Torchwood series 1 to the background music of "Scooby Doo", it was hilarious (and accurate).

The guy is always right.

I love what he had to say about the End Credits music being talked over

Charlie's take on Matt Smith was great. He says he's brilliant in the role of the Doctor but his eyebrows seem to be in different timezones. Made me laugh and I suspect, if Matt Smith had been watching, it would have made him laugh too.
