BTVision - now locking and restarting itself!
In a follow up to my library deletion my box is now locking up in the middle of a programme then restarting itself.
 Well, trying to restart itself anyway, it goes on to 'starting please wait' then goes no further and I have to get up and switch it off and on. 3 times during 1 programme last night and I was only about 10 minutes in. I gave up in the end and went to bed instead. I haven't tried it this morning yet. There's only so many times you can count to 10 before you chuck the thing out the lounge window..... |

It's been suggested more than once here that your box is faulty.
Get onto BT and get it swapped. |

Get onto BT and get it swapped.   I will try but as I say, we don't pay for it, we got it to trial it for BT so I don't think they will replace it which is why I come on here for any help I can get. |

Your box really does sound faulty though and it wont hurt to try BT and see what they say. You could always get one from Ebay to replace it as a last resort. |

I've been on at them for a couple of years on and off about the box because it makes the most awful noise especially when it is recording - quite aside from the usual racket - but they just tell me to factory reset. I hate ringing them, they are so patronising and quite rude on occasion but I guess I will have to get round to it. Sigh! |
