We have to make do with the awful Ant and Dec and the ghastly reality TV programmes.

But rumour has it that Jack will get a look in at some point in the new Who series.

wish the US would buy the Torchwood franchise and get it going again! at least they would keep John Barrowman

I think John Barrowman is dreadful. I really do. I enjoyed series two of Torchwood though, and the latest five-parter. I'm just not fussed about the Capt Jack character.

I've missed him a few times, but don't worry I'll get him with my next shot. Mwahaha!

Chappers, I think you are looking back too much in your thinking. These characters haven't been taken away from you, but they are not part of the new series of Doctor Who and really don't belong in it. Jack is one character that might fit in at some point, but really even if not, I don't understand why you need to "miss" him or other characters unless you are not being permitted to watch the stories that feature him/them

BTW I am a huge fan of Jacks character, both in DW and TW, so it's not a case of me not liking the character.

Maybe if he does come back we can investigate those lost 2 years he mentioned in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances!
