It was a big mistake for the BBC to keep him on, they're gonna have egg on their faces soon.

The BBC tried to keep a lid on the whole thing, just to keep their precious soap opera on the road. The BBC love EastEnders because it's the most popular programme they've ever had, but no actor and no show, should be more important than the BBC's credibility.

Idea for an exit:

Walking along by the canal when some gangster comes up to him with a bunch of flowers and shoots him. He goes splash in the canal and is never seen again.

De ja vu anyone?

Matt

Now is that a bad thing........seeing the old trout 'falling' down the stairs is hilarious! The bug eyes when she lands at the bottom are optional

lmao! Very good I liked that.

I agree the BBC should have let him go. Not for exposing himself on the web well yeh partially that for being stupid, I mean he is a famous face afterall. More so though what he said about his castmates he should be sacked. Cast in EastEnders have been sacked for less.

It's true they have sacked other cast members for less - Leslie Grantham personally insulted his colleagues, how can he really stay on set and work with them after talking like that? I too thought it was pathetic by the Beeb to try and keep him. His return has been a damp squib anyway.

Cool - but this time have them find the body and identify the bits from DNA so there is absolutly no chance of the **** turning up for a third go.

How about a German taxi driver stabs him to death and steals all his money?

Now that would be poetic justice!

Granny....

My dad told me that he read an article in which Leslie Grantham's mum told him to send some money to Germany to the family of the man he had murdered, now he is minted, and Grantham refused.

I think that says all you need to know about this guy.

He murdered a German taxi driver while serving in the army and I think he served about 12 years for it

Yes. To be fair to Grantham, he did serve his time, but he was indeed convicted of murder in Germany whilst serving in the British army. I believe he was aged around 19 and murdered a taxi driver for his day's takings.

The press had a field day with this story when it surfaced after EastEnders first started.

Just read on another site, apparently Grantham bought bunches of flowers for the entire cast after his comments reported in the press. All but two were later found in studio bins.

I read an alleged interview with him, where he said he never wanted to go back, as the program was rubbish, and he wanted to do something better.

I assume he is appearing in a remake of the wooden tops.

LONG LIVE DIRTY DEN!!

PS: I did love the comment about him turning up as Fred Elliots internet bride! But you could hardly call Dirty Den a "chick with a d*ck"!!

Apparently he wasnt allowed to attend the soap awards because of all this hoo-haa. Also - all the cast members keep taking the pee out of him behind his back, like sucking their fingers etc ... He is getting severe ribbing on set
