Tonight a recording/watching nightmare for HD viewers
Totally Wicked

If like me you would like to see the following and or sky+ them in HD tonight, it's a mess!

Over The Rainbow
Dr Who (of course!)
Dr Who Confidential
Britain's Got Talent (not in HD)

On the BBC's one inadequate HD channel, they have time shifted Dr Who to after Over the rainbow, so that means we have to see it later than everyone else (again due to bloody sport!) and the whole lot classes with Britain's Got Talent over on ITV1.

Only a few weeks ago there was nothing to watch on a Saturday night, now they seem to have everything stuffed into a small space and clashing like mad.

I think I have worked out a route through the minefield but it's not perfect by any means.

You could watch it in SD instead! Not that I would recommend downloading it but if you wait a few hours after broadcast a HD version of Doctor Who appears on the internet.

Well at the moment I think the plan is to watch "Over The Rainbow"(HD) then watch and record "Dr Who"(HD) and "Dr Who Confidential"(HD) all whilst recording "Britain's Got Talent"

The only problem is at the crossover between Dr Who and the confidential where there are two recordings going on and it needs to cut at some time between the two shows whilst still recording BGT.

Holy smoking SkyHD Boxes!

Well this is a Doctor Who forum so I say forget Britain's Got No Talent! I'm sure it's repeated on ITV2 in the next day or two. And BGT will be available to watch on ITV's website media player (like the BBC's Iplayer). I don't think there's any problem missing the show, it will be repeated. We're lucky to have more ways of seeing stuff. In the old days you needed a video recorder, remember those? These days we have Sky plus, hard drive recorders, online repeat broadcasts, ITV 2, bittorrent etc. So many ways of seeing tv shows.

Since I have zero interest in crappy talent shows, I don't see the problem to be honest. Then again, I can't see what's so special about HD either...

You wouldn't want to see Susan Boyle in HD?

You don't have to reply to that!
