Wraps or ?
I am quite new to wraps and they are very nice but I am confused about other round pancake like things. I have seen adverts on the tv where hot food is put on and rolled up like a wrap but there are many names such as (never seen it in print, sorry) buritos, tacos and something that sounds like torteeoss. Are they all the same things but from different countries? The american tv shows have loads of people eating them with all sorts of hot stuff in them. Are they all made from different things? Can a wrap be used for hot things or will it just fall apart?
I only have salady things in my wraps. |

Many of those types are from Mexico and have been absorbed into Tex-Mex.
This is what you are probably familiar with http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flour_tortilla Out of that you can make many things. They are all just variations on a theme. Some might be beef, some might be chicken etc, some may be toasted, some may be baked in a sauce etc. Check the See Also section of that article. |
