Timeline Gaffs

Anyone else spotted anything 'out of time'?

Tonight's episode was in a bit of a time warp.
Did anyone spot the British Steel documents on the wall by Amy when the Doc started to whack the Dalek?
Given that British Steel didn't start until 1967 it would be a little difficult to have paperwork hanging around in WWII.

There are too many strange 'mistakes' in the series so far regarding timing anomalies...

I reckon we're in a 'wibbly-wobbly alternate timeline' the 'crack' being the obvious sign.

Yes, quite.

There is more going on than meets the eyes here with regards to timelines. I wouldn't be writing them off as gaffs either at this stage.

This is something to do with the ultimate death of the Time Lords.

Ooooh I hadn't thought of that. That's a brilliant idea! It makes sense that the ultimate death left a significant and potentially dangerous result.

I know Moffat has departed from RTD's era, but I keep thinking about what the Ood said in The End of Time.

Personally I hope it has nothing to do with the Time Lords. RTD killed them off twice, really what more can be done with them? Mainly hoping it's not them as I don't want a repeat of Rose in Series 4! But then it would actually make sense given they are the 'Time' Lords and the way Prisoner Zero spoke about the silence and stuff, almost like the Doctor should know what he\she\it was on about?

I realise I have pretty much just argued with myself but ah well...

Would that explain why one of the WRAF had a single chevron on her arm for rank? That's never been a Royal Air Force Rank designation, no rank badge = AC (Aircaftsman or Woman), 2 bladed propellor = LAC (Leading AC), 3 bladed prop = SAC (Senior AC) (these days there is a 4 bladed prop for J/T - Junior Technician - but that didn't exist wartime), then it was 2 Chevrons for Corporal (the first RAF NCO rank).
That said I enjoyed the episode, wibbly wobbly or not

I noticed that the cup and saucer that the Dalek gave to whoever had a cup of tea are a contemporary design - very common in churches. Light green with 3 grooves round the cup above the handle and on the saucer.

It may be that this is a classic design and/or the props dept is not very good - or that the props dept is not very good so they've had to make up a story about cracks in time to cover all the anachronisms.

I can just hear Moffat: "They've given me a hospital badge issued in 1990, modern teacups and some paperwork from British Steel...screw it, I'll have to do a re-write..."

ROFLMAO.

Maybe RTD spent up the budget and trashed the props cupboard before he left.

They could've overdone it when they destroyed the last TARDIS set.

"If we need to save money sack the props department, I'll work out how to cover it up in the storyline later.'
