Emilie Miming: There must be something wrong, there must be something wrong! I love you!

Emilie's Mum: What's Emilie done to deserve those harsh comments?

.... Be sh*t!
I though she was miming to Danni "Be strong! Be Strong!"

I thought Emilie was really good last night

In fact, she was in my top 3 and am not usually an Emilie fan.

I thought she came across as quite arrogant too maybe if she'd then come out and done a fantastic performance it would not be so bad but it was nothing special!

Also I didn't like what she said last week about Dannielle I mean fair enough they all had to pck someone so that's not my problem but when she said she's only showed one side
to her performance well I've only seen one side to her performance and that's mediocre...
I think she's too young and innocent to be "arrogant" or intentionally "mean" to be honest.

Perhaps she's just very unknowing and naive?
I really think that is her problem.

Another vote for Emilie.
Emilie's crap.
Emilie cannot sing very well.
Emilie comes across as cocky.
Emilie cannot dance very well.
Emilie should have went in week one.

multiply these comments by 10.

Happy spending Ignazio

I wouldn't be surprised if Emelie was getting the most votes at the moment ..... but as each girl gets knocked out a lot of their fans are going to transfer to someone else ...... doubt it will be Emelie.
I think that the public have taken her to their hearts - so beware !

The more ALW and the other panelists pick on her the more viewers will get on the bangwagon.

I really felt for Emilie last night and tonight. Seeing her clearly in the process of breaking down backstage was really uncomfortable and VTs aside, her confidence seemed to be at a really low ebb. I'm not a particular fan of hers and really think she should have been bottom two both last week and this but I do think tonight was her best performance of the competition so far, yet she got the worst comments. I'd begun to think I just didn't like her voice all that much, but I actually think she's got a nice tone when she goes up into her higher range. In my opinion the panel did her a disservice by glossing over her faults in the first two weeks, because this week they obviously decided the honeymoon period was over and suddenly started giving the criticism that she deserved two weeks ago. Had they said something two weeks ago and last week, they could have acknowledged her improvement this week. As it was, Emilie had no warning that they might suddenly turn on her.

I hope she's out in the next couple of weeks for her own sake. And yes, I really do mean that. I liked her the first week and was pleased she got the wildcard vote, but I now just think she's in no way ready for this. Quite apart from anything else, this competition is always going to end up focussing on vocal ability and from the sounds of it, her strengths lie in acting and dancing at the moment. She needs time to mature though, both vocally and in general terms, and she's not going to have that time if she wins the role of Dorothy.

Such a rational post - focusing on both her strengths and weaknesses.

If only others could make their point without the need to mock and deride.

I think the people voting for Emilie need a serious reality check. Who do they intend to help by this? Sure, keep voting her in, even make her win the show if you like. But did you ever think about how awful it'l be for her on her opening night when she can't hold a tune and gets slammed with full fury by this forum and many, many more?

God forbid that the Emilie voters should have the audacity to consider themselves part of the real world.

If she's got any nouse - she'll ignore this forum.

As the weeks go by all the extra singing coachingshould improve her voice enough to see her through everything. It's not as though any of the others are World beaters , is it ??

Whilst I would never intentionally wish to offend a contestant from the comfort of my own laptop, and would not mock - these girls had better toughen up and learn to take criticism.

Derision is part and parcel of the entertainment industry and their performances are under microscopic scrutiny. A few folks on an internet forum are nothing. Wait until they get a lead role and watch the professional daggers come out. The newspaper critics take no prisoners, and if they don't think a headliner is up to the job, they'll let their readership know it and often use very poisonous words to hammer their point home.

I always wonder if the feedback from forums like this gets back to the contestants

Trying to be fair to her but the only things she's really got going in her favour are her underdog status and the fact she's a half-decent dancer. Vocally and in terms of her acting ability she's so far off the standard of the others that it's almost embarrasing. Don't get me wrong, she's not Jedward awful but she just seems totally out of her depth on the show and I imagine it's as galling for other viewers as it is for me to find her still on the show when better performers have left

More than once I've been half-watching one of the group numbers and heard someone come in off-key, looked up to see who it is and, 100%, every time, it's Emilie

Although people have accused of of being 'arrogant' I don't think that's really the right term, what it does seem like is that she has a naively misguided over-estimation of her own ability

I think emilie just wants to win, and she is desperately trying to convince the public that she can do it. That's why she said those things about her training and stuff and her dancing ability. She thinks it will make people have faith in her. I think it's very annoying when people big themselves up to that degree on these shows.

They try not to read them, but it does, as do the bad write ups in various newspapers...

So believe me, all the bitchy comments about all the girls sometimes get through...

How do you know?? You seem to have a lot of connections to them.... or one of them. I would have thought that their days would be very busy, no time to surf the net except for keeping in touch with family.

I would agree with that ... I would think it would be the opposite, that during filming family and production work quite hard to keep negative stuff away from the girls in case it affects their confidence .... although of course things will slip through ... but I'd also imagine they are told to ignore all this stuff as it's only a very small % of the viewing population who actively contribute on forums etc ...

...in fact if you take into account that the majority of people on here seem to dislike Emilie and love Danielle then after tonight's show we are not really very representative at all of the public voters!!

She was my favourite i think last night. Some of the judges just want her out now so the horrible comments have stepped up a gear.
She comes across as a lovely girl.
I hope she is sensational next week.

Praise the Lord - a measured assessment of your opinion - and nairy the need to resort to insult.

My only difference of opinion would be your view of her acting ability - which Sheila described as terrific.

Not for one minute do I believe that overall ability is keeping Emilie in the quest for Dorothy - but a young woman who makes the top 20 of all Dorothy hopefuls (not to mention the public's wildcard) is neither crap nor shit.

No different to those who say "I know I can be Dorothy."

Belief in one's talent and ability is a prerequisite of those who contest these shows.
