This is the best satire on DW threads throughout this site that I have ever read: Up the Hearts, damn you circle munchers - cream? Ha, I spit upon you - sugary white filling is all that counts as JD canon...!

He should've used a generic name, Jammy Dodger is a brand, and counts as product placement from what I can see. The BBC will probably be looking at a reprimand.

No.

Jammie dodger is the brand

Jammy Dodger can be used to refer to a Jammie dodger clone...

Well as I'm currently munching on a non generic version that is called a jam ring, no case to answer.

Thinking about it I guess you're right and thank you for making this straight woman really laugh.

And yes you did get my imagination going a lot.

Doesn't say much for Dalek scanning technology.

Doctor: "Leave our world now before we unleash our bourbons of mass destruction."

I bet when Mark Gatiss stuck in the line about the jammy dodger, he had no idea he would be sparking a two-page (and counting) forum thread.

I have to hand it to you guys, you could debate ANYTHING.

Hehehehe!

I have to say I didn't see it coming, either the biscuit or the debate! Good bit of fun, and a great idea I thought.

Yes, and what of it? That Doctor Who is a rubbish documentary- nothing like what my life was really like!

But if there was Jammy Dodgers, where was Johnny?
(and for those of you that get that, I award you a night in a pub in the north west along with a GIANT jammy dodger)

What we have here of course is a 1940's Jammie Dodger........perhaps they did have round holes then!

I think we are witnessing the development of a whole biscuitoid Doctor Who mytheme. On Saturday we had a jammy dodger, and every episode so far has featured a gingernut - she's called Amy Pond.
